7 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery in Seomyeon, Busan with ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + the incisional method. My original eyes were just monolids, small eyes, ptosis, and eyes with a lot of fat on the upper eyelids. (Eyes that swelled easily when I cried and where the swelling lasted a long time.) I went around to 4-5 places, and since I was young, I had it done somewhere affordable and kind. I got greedy and wanted to do lateral canthoplasty too, but they talked me out of it. That was lucky. I think the cost was around 1.3 million won? It was so long ago that it’s hazy. Maybe because my original eyes were like that, the shape was okay after surgery, but the double eyelids were thick and it looked very obvious that I’d had cosmetic surgery. I’m prone to scarring, so the epicanthoplasty scars were also bad. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve lost facial fat and the fat on my upper eyelids has gone down too, so now it’s fairly okay. I think it suits my facial proportions well too, and I’m worried revision surgery would make them thicker, so I’m living with it fairly satisfied.
