I’ll share my experience escaping sausage-like eyelids.. My first surgery was at a local plastic surgery clinic, and the line was so puffy that everyone around me asked whether I had just recently had surgeryㅜ
I was told that swelling from an incisional procedure can last from several months to several years, so I just kept waiting, but after about 3 years, I felt like this wasn’t right, so I went all the way to Gangnam, even though it was far from home, and had revision surgeryㅠㅠ
Before surgery, the crease was too high, so it caused me a lot of stress. My eyes always looked swollen.. and every morning the swelling looked even worse.. Thankfully, I had a good feeling from the first day after surgery.. After the major swelling went down, from about 3 weeks post-op, the overall look of my eyes became much softer. My friends also told me that it was good I got revision surgery..
And I thought that just having double eyelids would make my eyes look bigger, but because of the sausage-like swelling, they actually looked smaller, so I wanted my stuffy-looking eyes to look more open and refreshed. When I had the revision surgery, I lowered the crease line and also had ptosis correction plus lateral and lower canthoplasty together.
If my first surgery had gone well, I wouldn’t have had to go through all this hardship with revision surgery. It cost a lot of money too.. Still, they no longer look puffy, and I feel like they look like normal double eyelids like other people’s, so when I look in the mirror or do my makeup, it’s so much more comfortable and I’m really happy. Please really don’t get your first surgery just anywhere, and if you don’t want revision surgeryㅠㅜ make sure to research clinics well and meet a good director. I hope everyone succeeds!
