I originally had inner double eyelids and large eyes, but as I got older, my eyelids started to droop and my eyes felt smaller, so I had surgery 3 years ago. I had the foolish thought that double eyelid surgery is not a difficult operation, so any plastic surgeon would be good at it, and I got surgery at a local clinic in my area. My left eye became a semi-sausage eye. From an appropriate distance it looks okay, but up close, the area covered by the eyelid looks thick, making the eye look unnatural. I kept thinking about revision surgery, finally decided to do it, and started going around for consultations.
1. Dr. Park Byung-ho at Iho Eye: To resolve the unnatural-looking eye, he said I should lower the line with the double-line method, and if lowering the line makes the eyes look smaller and reduces satisfaction, it should be addressed secondarily with a forehead lift. The doctor was kind, and I felt like he understood well why my eyes looked unnatural. It is a one-doctor clinic and they said they only do 2 surgeries a day, so it felt trustworthy, and I am considering whether to do it here. 2. Dr. Lee Han-byeol at Iting: Likewise, he diagnosed that the unnatural-looking eye could be resolved by lowering the line with the double-line method and then doing a forehead lift as a second step. The doctor was kind and explained in detail. His explanation of the cause and solution felt quite trustworthy. Since my eyes are round, I was also considering lateral canthoplasty, but he explained why my eyes should not have lateral canthoplasty. One thing that bothers me is that the director looks young, so I am wondering whether he may know a lot in theory but not yet have much surgical experience, and what if his hand skills are lacking. 3. Dr. Lee Jun-hyuk at Unique: I went there because the eyes in the review photos looked so pretty. I do not remember the details well, but he recommended lowering the line with the double-line method. The director was kind, but I went early in my consultation rounds, so I do not remember the details. 4. Dr. KGH at ㅇㅇㄷ Plastic Surgery: He said to just do an incision and remove more of the upper part without the double-line method, and also recommended medial epicanthoplasty and ptosis correction. If the upper part is incised, the thick skin would be cut, so I do not think the current thick feeling would improve... My eyes are round, but the inner corners are already a bit close together, so if I get medial epicanthoplasty, I think my eyes would become like Shin Dong-yup's eyes... I really do not trust it. 5. Dr. YYG at ㅌㅇ Plastic Surgery: He explained that the reason my eyes look unnatural is because my forehead or eyebrows are drooping, so I need a forehead lift. For the eyes, he said to lower the line on the left eye, which looks more like a sausage eye, and if I like the height of the right eye, to do only the left. I think the cause is right, but if I get a forehead lift and the right double eyelid becomes even bigger, it seems like it would look strange....
Because I went into my first surgery without thinking, for revision surgery I want to do my research and succeed. For those who have had revision surgery, please recommend hospitals that are good at it. Please....
