I decided to have surgery because my hidden double eyelids were barely noticeable. In my previous photos, which were ordinary selfies, my eyes looked monolidded unless you enlarged them. Except for family or extremely close friends who had seen my face from very close up, nobody even knew I had double eyelids. I kept wavering about whether to do it and turned 30, then visited Hani Plastic Surgery on a friend’s recommendation. I heard that one surgeon handled all the surgeries and that it specialized in eye surgery, so I trusted it. I decided right after the consultation. I was worried the cost would rise if I was told I needed other procedures such as canthoplasty or ptosis correction, but the doctor examined me and said I only needed the line created, recommending non-incisional surgery because it was my first operation, recovery would be faster, and the result would be more natural. I did consider an incision because part of me wanted a noticeable change, but the doctor told me that a natural line suited my eyes and that, if I was unsure, it would be better to start with reversible non-incisional surgery and consider an incision later if I wanted a more defined double eyelid after seeing the result. Although I came through a friend’s recommendation, I liked that the consultation was tailored to me, so I booked immediately and had non-incisional double-eyelid surgery. It has now been three months, and I’m very satisfied because it looks extremely natural. Even a friend I met after a long time couldn’t really tell I had surgery until I mentioned it. I’m truly, truly happy to have natural double eyelids that are not too noticeable.
