Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Day 3 nose surgery review, I’ll tell you about the pain

Silicone nasal bridge, septal cartilage, ear cartilage, bulbous nose correction. I feel like there were more procedure names, but I can’t remember.

---------------- First, the day of surgery ---------------- Worst pain, a day in hell

I lay down on the operating table, got an IV in my hand, and they applied disinfectant to my face. The pain started here. The disinfectant went all inside my nose, and my nose really burned. But they said it couldn’t be helped because it was for disinfection. They disinfected it several times. It kept burning. Then I went under sedation, and the surgery was over.

Since the inside of my nose had been messed up, I wanted to take painkillers quickly. Since I had surgery with my mouth open (they put something in my mouth), my mouth was so dry I felt like I’d die, but they told me to drink water 30 minutes later.

And they had stuffed cotton in my nose, and this was seriously a brutal object. Before surgery, I read reviews and thought, nose cotton? I totally underestimated it. They remove it pretty soon anyway, and my nose often gets blocked normally, so I thought I could live just fine with a blocked nose. I was stupid. This is on another level........

Not being able to breathe + have you ever swallowed water through your nose at a swimming pool as a kid? It burns like crazy, right? That feeling goes oooooon and on + pain from nose surgery (this part is the most tolerable)

When I came home and tried to sleep, the moment I fell asleep, I unconsciously tried to breathe through my nose -> of course, because of the cotton in my nose, I couldn’t breathe -> I woke up thinking, I can’t breathe!!!!! <<--- repeated endlessly

I woke up about 3 times every 5 minutes. It’s not even like I woke up from sleep; the moment I was falling asleep, I would suffocate and be forced awake, so I couldn’t sleep at all.

I repeated falling asleep, waking up from suffocation, falling asleep, waking up, at least 100 times, and eventually gave up on sleeping. I searched YouTube and saw there were a lot of people like me.

But then I searched more and saw some people get the cotton removed the day after surgery, some on day 7, and some even removed it on their own. For people who get it removed on day 7,,? All I can say is.. stay strong..

Since it was the same day, I even had pain in my nose, but nose pain or whatever, not being able to breathe was the biggest problem. I had a slight bruise under my eyes, but it was barely noticeable. There was almost no swelling.

---------------- Anyway, morning came, day 1 ----------------

Every time I confirmed that I couldn’t breathe through my nose, I started feeling like I was going crazy. Breathing forcibly went into manual mode. On day 2, I had to let go of everything. My face was also swollen enough that I thought, hmm, it’s pretty swollen? I should do cold compresses.

Until yesterday, my ear didn’t hurt at all, to the point that I wondered if they had really touched it, but it suddenly swelled up and started hurting. The burning in my nose got somewhat better. Still, it was still burning. It went down from about 10 -> 8. I tried to do a compress on my ear, but it hurt just from touching it, so I just left it alone. Also, they had put something over my ear, you know? Because of that, I couldn’t apply ointment either. For reference, I couldn’t properly do compresses on my nose either because I had a splint on... I looked it up and they said to just do compresses near the nose.

After spending the day doing compresses, when I tried to sleep, a lot of the swelling had gone down. I felt proud of myself for diligently doing compresses, and then because I hadn’t slept the day before, I just passed out.

---------------- Day 2 ---------------- In the morning, I opened my eyes, no, I couldn’t open my eyes. I looked in the mirror through tiny slits, and there was a monster. My eyes were insanely swollen, so I couldn’t open or close them. I wondered if I had slept too much, and I’d only eaten porridge, so what was going on? I immediately started compresses. No matter how much I did them, my eyes wouldn’t open.

Then I realized the problem was that I had kept lying down with only my head slightly raised, so after sitting upright and doing compresses, my eyes started to open a little. But once my eyes slowly started opening, there was an even bigger problem: these damn eyelashes were stabbing my eyeballs like crazy.. I just closed my eyes, sat there, and did compresses.

I felt like I had somewhat gotten used to the nose cotton. Even so, it felt like I had at least come back alive from hell to the border of hell.. I can’t forget it. The burning pain in my nose was almost about 1-2. It was still there, but it became hard to call it pain.

By evening, the swelling around my eyes had gone down a lot. I briefly woke up at 5 a.m. and thought, huh, I’m not swollen at all, so I cheered, but

---------------- Day 3 ---------------- By 8 a.m., I don’t know what happened over those 3 hours, but I was swollen like a monster again, just like the day before. Since this was the long-awaited day to remove the cotton, I hurriedly did compresses in the morning to reduce the swelling and went to the clinic.

At the clinic, they removed the cotton, and the cotton seemed bigger than my thumb. There wasn’t really pain, but it felt a bit like the inside of my nose was dry and sore for about 10 minutes. But that pain wasn’t even pain. First of all, it felt insanely refreshing, so I didn’t really feel the pain.

When I looked at my face, it had gone down compared with the morning. I think my swelling is originally worse in the morning.

The end
