Story about my botched dual canthoplasty, etc.

Plastic surgery clinics in Korea are so scary... I really don’t know where I’m supposed to trust and go ㅜㅜ I thought Seoul would probably be better than a regional area... so I went all the way from Ulsan to Seoul for dual canthoplasty. I found it through an app, and places that were too cheap made me uneasy, so it wasn’t even a cheap event price, but when I actually went, the price was different, there was an extra charge if I designated the director, and even though I had made a consultation appointment, I waited two hours. I didn’t even get to meet the doctor during the consultation.

I asked, “Don’t I see the director?” and they said something like, originally the consultant does the consultation, and once you set a surgery date, then you see the director...

The consultant said to just trust her, that since I had come from Ulsan she would take good care of me, that she would be in charge of all follow-up care, and so on and so on. At that time, it was my first time getting a consultation in Seoul, and it had been a long time since I had my nose done in Busan, so I was confused, wondering if this was just how things were. I was foolish and really knew nothing..ㅜㅜ Since I scheduled surgery for the next day, I only saw the doctor briefly on the day before going in. They said I could return to daily life right away, but I went to work for a month with bruising ㅜ I originally have quite prominent under-eye fat, and the swelling lasted for months, so I thought my under-eye fullness would never come back. After more than 7 months, it started coming up againㅜ I went there knowing nothing and only looking at the app ads ㅜㅜ Both sides were uneven, and the left side puckered as if it had been stitched badly. Every time I kept asking the clinic, they said it would settle after three months, after six months, after a year. But even after a year, the scarring and the area that looked like it had been stitched wrong didn’t improve, so I made an appointment saying I wanted the director to check my progress and went all the way to Seoul again, but I still couldn’t meet him... I asked at another clinic, and they said revision surgery can’t be done either.ㅜㅜ .... Compared with some other people who wrote here, mine isn’t severe, but please look into the clinic you choose one more time before going.. I also had rhinoplasty before, and after all the swelling went down, it was like there was a gap above the nasal tip, or it looked sunken.. I’m considering revision surgery because I’m afraid it might get even worse for no reason.. And these days I’ve been going around looking for a liposuction clinic.

I was 89 kg and exercised for 4 years to get down to 53 kg, but after a ruptured disc and ovarian endometrioma, with medication and surgery, I couldn’t exercise, so I got tired of my weight going up and down by about 8 kg from yo-yoing. I’m originally the soft-flabby type, and even though I exercise more than three hours, I don’t build muscle easily.. When I gain weight, my lower body becomes elephant legs., After recovering, I had started Pilates and personal training again, but every time I did a movement, the Pilates teacher would come correct me, saying, “You need to fully straighten your knees.” Teacher.. my knees are fully straightened.. I’m not that heavy, but my knees are especially bulky, so the teacher misunderstood.. She touched them, realized, and left without saying anything..ㅜㅜ It hurt....

So I decided on liposuction. Remove the fat cells! If I keep exercising like now, I’ll be able to escape my lower-body obesity! With that mindset, I was going to get liposuction on my thighs and calves. Again, without thinking of my previous experience, I had a consultation at a place with good reviews and booked surgery right away. But just in case, I searched everything I could on Google and YouTube, and there were many bad reviews, so I canceled and have been going around Seoul and Busan for consultations. I’ve had consultations at nine places. There was a place that said they operate for over three hours under general anesthesia, a place that said, “I’m not doing art, let’s both be comfortable,” and that with a vibrating cannula, they finish calves, thighs, and knees in under an hour, and there was also a place where I liked the director but the nurse and consultant were strange. I wrote this in another post too, but I don’t know if the consultant showed it by mistake, but on her phone schedule it said “so-and-so-so-and-so (another plastic surgery clinic name) ghost day off.” There was a place like that too.... The so-and-so hospital was also famous, and the place where I had the consultation was also famous as a one-director clinic known for making good lines with liposuction, but the consultation wasn’t good either. I’m on the slimmer side in my upper body, with a somewhat thicker lower body, an average build, and fairly tall, but they said 5,000 cc of pure fat would come out just from my thighs, excluding calves. Is that possible??? When I told another clinic that, they said for pure fat, 2,500 cc, maybe 3,000 cc at most would come out ㅜㅜ These are clinics I picked and picked before going, but I’m anxious and still don’t have a clinic I can trust.. I’m wondering if I should just do it at a numbered clinic. It seems systematic and the system feels trustworthy, but it seems like they don’t really do the knee-line area well, so I’m conflicted..

When I see people who succeeded with plastic surgery, I’m jealous, and when I see cosmetic surgery side effects, I wonder whether I’m trying to enjoy something so amazing that I have to go this far. But then I still keep worrying about my complexes, sighㅜ

Even after thinking and thinking and worrying before going, I’m still anxiousㅜ
