Finally, my eyelashes don’t poke my eyes anymore…!! I had congenital entropion, so it was always uncomfortable, and because my eyes had a high chance of recurrence, this was my second surgery. It wasn’t just about fixing the entropion; my eyes themselves were somewhat difficult to operate on (prominent brow bone, narrow distance between the eyes and eyebrows, a type with a lot of fat + muscle…), so I was looking for a place that could consider all of that together. I went to consultations at several places, and Olo seemed to assess my eye condition realistically while adjusting things without overdoing it, so I decided to have it done there!
How did I find the clinic?
I searched for places good at entropion surgery on that app everyone uses, and I personally visited about 6 clinics. I went to clinics around Gangnam, Sinsa, and Apgujeong, and each consultation style was different. Some places just casually said, “It’ll turn out well~” and ended it there, or they gave the impression of wanting to make the change too big and excessive (including nose surgery too), so I didn’t feel confident enough to choose them right away. But Olo spent quite a long time on the consultation and set a realistic direction suited to my eyes, so I trusted them! Also, their postoperative care was good, so I ended up choosing Olo.
Concerns before surgery!
The thing I worried about most was the possibility of recurrence…! Since these were eyes I had already had surgery on once, I was really worried about what if the lashes poked again, and because my eyes are structurally difficult, it wasn’t just a matter of fixing the entropion. It was important that my eyes look more open while settling naturally. I didn’t want the feeling of suddenly changing a lot!
Things I’m completely satisfied with after surgery!!
- My eyelashes don’t poke at all!! This was seriously the most important thing, and it was completely resolved - My upper eyelashes used to poke sometimes too, and even that was resolved! - The epicanthoplasty settled naturally, without being excessive and without scars! - My eye proportions look much more open, and overall my eyes look clearer! And I like that the aftercare is thorough! I was originally worried because I scar easily and my tissue is slow to return to its place, but they prescribed medication and ointment!
Before surgery, I really had a lot of concerns and worries, but in the end I’m so satisfied!! If you’re considering entropion surgery or double eyelid surgery, I think it’s important to get consultations at several places and have surgery somewhere that suits your own eyes!:)
