Other friends got prettier after double eyelid surgery, but I wasted both money and time... and ended up with ambiguous-looking eyes?... So I started planning revision surgery, but everyone around me opposed it. I’d had a lot of dissatisfaction after the first surgery, and I think people were worried that even though there wasn’t anything wrong with my eyes, I’d dislike them again and suffer emotionally. But my satisfaction with the first double eyelid surgery was so low, and it’s not like there was a guaranteed chance I’d fail again like people’s reactions suggested, right? I thought maybe there could be at least some change compared with now, so I decided to get revision surgery. Instead, to make it successful and be highly satisfied, this time I looked very carefully into the hospital for the revision lol
And since I heard that being too greedy can ruin the result, I decided not to be overly ambitious. I prioritized whether the hospital seemed like it would take responsibility until the end even after surgery, and after looking around, I decided on surgery at ㄸㅋ because they had an aftercare period and required several hospital visits after surgery too. Also, the double eyelid line that Director Kim designed for me was my favorite among all the hospitals I consulted at lol During the consultation, they sincerely and thoroughly explained for a long time what procedures I needed to get the eyes I wanted, so I think that made me trust them.
I had revision non-incisional double eyelid surgery and revision upper canthoplasty, plus under-eye fat repositioning. Since I had both revision surgery and under-eye treatment, the price was on the higher side, but all the places I consulted were pretty similar. And since it was revision surgery, if I did it somewhere cheap and it failed, I’d need a second revision, so I thought it would be better to meet a director who was good at surgery and succeed. I thought about it a lot before getting it done, and seeing the result, I think I made the right decision.
The swelling started going down quickly around day 10, and after a month, I didn’t even feel that pulling sensation I used to get sometimes lol. And seeing it settle beautifully into the semi-out line I wanted makes me satisfied. The under-eye area that used to look dull and dark also became cleaner thanks to the under-eye fat repositioning, and people say my overall impression looks much better than before surgery haha
Even acquaintances who opposed the revision at first are now complimenting me a lot, saying it turned out pretty this time and was successful! My stress about my appearance is gone, and I’ve gained self-esteem and confidence, so I’m really happy lol. And they said the line will settle even more beautifully and look more natural once all the swelling definitely goes down, so I’m going to wait comfortably until then lolol
Lastly, I hope everyone gets it done somewhere that doesn’t just roughly design a line and operate, but properly designs the line after considering my current eye condition, facial feature proportions, and all that.
