Even when I close my eyes, the scar is barely visible. It’s about the level of a slight crease you see when people with deep double eyelids close their eyes? That’s all you can see, and people usually don’t really notice that I had double eyelid surgery. Actually, the left side has loosened a little, but I think living with it like this isn’t bad either.
Originally, I had severe ptosis, so normally I had monolids, but when I opened my eyes with force, a line would form like that. But I guess my sleepy-looking impression was too severe, because my parents said, “Let’s get surgery!” so I ended up having surgery when I was in high school. Back then, I wasn’t interested in my appearance, and honestly, even without surgery, well... I felt like I could live okay, so during the consultation I was pretty indifferent~ When the doctor asked if I had a line I wanted, I said I hadn’t thought of anything in particular, but please make it suit my eyes while still making the surgery feel worthwhile (it was such a difficult request ^^;). Anyway, I’m satisfied with the result!
Maybe because the doctor is the meticulous type, the surgery took a full 4 hours or so. The suturing was also so meticulous that I had quite a lot of stitches. I think the reason my left eye loosened is because I often rubbed my left eye ^^ After the surgery, once it had healed to some extent, if I wanted to rub it, I just rubbed it.
