Before before before / after after after This is my 2-month review after getting facial contouring (chin advancement + cheekbones + liposuction) at Soda Plastic Surgery.
My biggest concerns were that my face usually looked wide and that my cheek fat would not go down even when I lost weight. I felt that dieting had its limits, so I decided to have facial contouring surgery because I wanted to change my overall impression and create a more defined facial contour.
I had consultations at several plastic surgery clinics, but after consulting with Dr. Kwon Jae-hyun at Soda Plastic Surgery, I made my decision right away. The doctor sincerely listened to my concerns and understood exactly the image I wanted, so I felt I could trust him. During the consultation, I could also feel the doctor’s skill and confidence, which made me think, “I can trust this place and leave it to them.” Among the clinics I consulted with, he was the only one who confidently said the surgery could be done under sedation anesthesia, and that also felt like confidence in his skills. I was a little scared of general anesthesia. For areas like liposuction, he said he proceeds conservatively, and the fact that he said he could remove more fat again at any time later if I was dissatisfied was also something that made me trust him.
Right after the surgery, maybe because of the doctor’s surgical skill, I barely felt any pain (I was surprised because it really didn’t hurt), and the bruising and swelling were much less than I expected. Since I have a cautious personality, I paid a lot of attention to recovery. Until my stitches were removed at week 1, I only ate a liquid diet, and even afterward I focused on recovery by mainly eating thin rice gruel or porridge. After one month passed, I have been able to eat most foods except hard foods, and now at month 2, I can open my mouth about two fingers wide. After my recent hospital visit for a progress check, the doctor told me to start practicing opening my mouth, so I’m practicing consistently.
When I visited at 2 months after surgery, the doctor said there was still some residual swelling, and I also feel like I’m the type whose minor swelling lasts a long time. Still, as time passes, my facial line is becoming more and more natural and defined. I can feel that my cheekbones have definitely been reduced and my chin has naturally advanced, making my face overall look smaller and slimmer. It will still take more time for everything to fully settle, but every time I look in the mirror, I feel that I really made the right decision getting the surgery.
Thanks to Dr. Kwon Jae-hyun, I resolved a long-standing concern and am living my daily life with more confidence. I’m truly grateful to Dr. Kwon Jae-hyun, and once all the swelling goes down and my mouth-opening practice becomes perfect, I think I can look forward to an even prettier line! If everyone is considering facial contouring surgery, try getting a consultation at Soda Plastic Surgery~!
