TMJ Botox

The location was near Gangnam Station, and it was cheaper than other places, so I had been going there for laser hair removal. Then it was time to get masseter Botox, and when I said I was going to get it, the manager said I also had to get it in the temporomandibular joint area for the line to look slimmer. I had gotten masseter Botox consistently for about 16 years, but I had never gotten it in the TMJ area, so I said I’d think about it, but they wrote down in my chart that TMJ Botox had been recommended, but I hadn’t had it before so I couldn’t get it. Then when I went in for the jaw Botox procedure, the doctor said that in his opinion I should get the TMJ area done together for a slimmer line and told me to think about it once more. Since even the doctor said that, I trusted them and got it, but about a month later the area under my cheekbones, meaning the area in front of my ears, became deeply sunken, and even now, two months later, I look like a skeleton. I met the doctor again a month later, and he said that everyone is different, but it seemed like I was the type whose Botox effect shows very strongly, so next time I shouldn’t get the jaw and TMJ done at the same time, and if other people get 50 units, I should get 20 to 30 units. I do think it will return since it’s muscle, but every time I look in the mirror and see how hollow it got, I can only sigh. I learned that getting procedures done at a hospital with a specialist, rather than a clinic, is safer and saves you from emotional stress.
