I had double eyelid surgery 14 years ago, and 8 years ago it seemed like the line on my left side was coming undone, so I had it done again. Back then, I should have done more research and gone to another revision surgery clinic, but I simply thought my eyes were the problem and got revision surgery at the same clinic where I had it done. I thought it would never come undone again. And while getting consultations this time, I felt that the director who did my first eye surgery must have insisted on making the line go downward toward the end both times ㅜ Maybe at the time they thought that suited me well, but even though I had double eyelids, my eyes looked slightly sleepy. I had only blamed the line for looking faint, but I realized again that the line itself was also the problem. Since it was revision surgery, I was really careful. When I drew eyeliner, I felt like I didn’t have that much of a complex, but with bare eyes, they really looked sleepy and somehow not defined. If I didn’t put strength into my eyes, above all I was also worried that my image might change drastically. In the end, plastic surgery is largely about self-satisfaction, so my desire to do it grew stronger, and I thought I would follow that feeling. I really thought of this as the last time, so I was considering an incision this time. I went to consultations at a total of 4 places, and there was one more place I had in mind, but both times the timing didn’t work out so I couldn’t go. I decided based on who understood the problems with my eyes best even without me saying them, and based on the overlapping recommended surgical methods, such as canthoplasty, ptosis correction, and surgical technique. I was recommended ptosis correction and incisional surgery. Three places had the same opinion, and one of them said my eyes would look more open if I also did a lateral canthoplasty, but even at another clinic specializing in canthoplasty, they said that if the line was drawn well, I wouldn’t need a lateral canthoplasty, so I didn’t do any canthoplasty. In the end, I was really torn between 2 clinics, but at one clinic I had seen someone who had actually had it done there, and I decided on the place I felt a little more drawn to. I think it has been about 10 days now. From the day of surgery, considering it was incisional, it didn’t swell too badly. I think it still obviously looks like I had surgery to anyone who sees me. The first is my bare eyes before surgery, then with makeup, the day of surgery, and the rest are how I looked after surgery. And the last one is the look I had tried making by myself before surgery. I had hoped my eyes would become this defined, and I think they turned out similar to my recent look, so I’m satisfied. I hope this helps people considering revision surgery.
