Nose Surgery Reviews

Clinic review from a community

I was thinking about revision rhinoplasty, so I went for a consultation. After my first surgery, my nasal bridge became too low and my columella collapsed, so I was very stressed. I wanted it to look natural while properly restoring the line, so I had a consultation, and the director recommended autologous costal cartilage. The director explained that because autologous costal cartilage is my own tissue, there is no foreign-body sensation and the shape is stable. I was worried about scarring, but they said that if the harvest site heals well, it is barely noticeable. I had been thinking a lot about materials for rhinoplasty, but after the consultation, autologous costal cartilage appealed to me the most. The hospital has many revision cases and specializes in rhinoplasty, so maybe that's why the consultation was thorough. The downside is that because it is a popular hospital, I would have to wait a bit for a surgery date, but since I'm not doing it urgently, I'm thinking of considering it.
