I had the surgery around 2021, and about 4 years have passed now.
The side-effect symptoms include eye pulling (pain) when looking upward, left, or right; pressure on the eyes; double vision; astigmatism; and inability to focus. In the beginning, the pain was really severe, but as time passed, it became manageable enough for daily life. However, I don’t think I can live like this for the rest of my life, so I’m planning to go for consultations again.
Externally, the fixation is strong and deep, and the line is high, but when I open my eyes it rolls inward, so it looks okay when I wear makeup.
One thing I want to let you know is that if you feel discomfort right after ptosis correction, I recommend having it released as quickly as possible within 2 weeks. At the time, when I complained of discomfort to my surgeon, he said non-incisional surgery could not cause that kind of pain or symptoms and told me to endure it, so I foolishly believed him and waited. In the end, even after a long time, most of the symptoms remain the same. Looking at reviews in a community, there were people who had experiences similar to mine at that clinic.
I was told that functional problems such as pain are difficult to fix even with revision surgery, and because of this, I’m also hesitating over revision surgery.
