First of all, I had surgery with autologous costal cartilage 9 months ago, and for the scar, I applied scar ointment consistently until about 3-4 months after surgery, but it didn’t really seem like a keloid was forming, so I stopped. After that, the sutured area was white, but the surrounding area had some darkish pigmentation, you know? This time I had it zapped with a laser, and it did get a little lighter, but there’s not really much improvement..
Is surgery the only answer?
