<전><전><전><전><후><후><후>My eyes were really severe when I actually looked at them, and the asymmetry was quite pronounced. I wanted to improve the left-side imbalance only, using my right eye as the reference in photos, so I went for a consultation.
This was a hospital with lots of double-eyelid surgery posts and known for revisions. I visited four places, and the surgeon clearly told me what would suit me and what wouldn’t, so I chose this one. Just to explain, I wanted a natural result only (not thick, deep, or overly obvious).
During the consultation, I mainly said: improve the asymmetry and restore the original double-eyelid line (in/out). The surgeon said my lifting force was weak, so he thought adding secondary canthoplasty (re-canthal widening) would be good, and I went in with secondary canthoplasty + non-incision at 7.5 (right) and 8.5 (left), setting the left higher to improve the asymmetry.
But the original round, soft upper-lid front margin and thin in-out disappeared, and on the side where the asymmetry existed, the line got swallowed, making the crossed-eye appearance even worse...
(Even the shape of the first fold was odd, so in that later photo only the back part had secondary canthoplasty redone.)
I’m not sure whether the initial fold was too thick or whether the eyelid-shape correction was the problem, but the natural double eyelids I wanted are gone, and it became like this.
It has been about a year and a half since surgery (three months since the revision), and I regret it so much now... I should have checked more carefully first.
I consulted in March, and if it can be released, I’m planning to definitely undo it. I need to either lower the initial fold or release it For everyone (especially cosmetic surgery, especially double-eyelid surgery, which many treat as easily as a simple procedure), I really hope you think very carefully before doing it.
