In 2017, I had surgery for my hump nose and nasal septum together. For the hospital, I thought I should choose carefully since I was getting rhinitis treatment and cosmetic surgery at the same time, so while searching, I found an ENT clinic in Gangnam, went for a consultation, booked the surgery, and ended up having it done. During the surgery, it really didn’t hurt, but afterward it was so hard. First of all, breathing through my nose was the worst. For two days, they put cotton in my nose, so when I slept, I woke up once every hour. And I’m usually really good at tolerating pain. I’m not scared of injections at all and I tolerate pain well, but wow... maybe because this involved shaving bone, I don’t know about other people, but for me it hurt so much. And the second worst part was when they removed the cotton from my nose. I thought my brain was coming out too. I’m really not exaggerating; that’s how it felt to me.... After that, the aftercare wasn’t particularly difficult. I don’t know if it was because I don’t drink or smoke, or if it was my constitution, but they said my swelling went down faster than most people’s.
After some time passed, my nasal tip drooped and my rhinitis got severe again, so I recently had revision surgery in November. I had nasal tip surgery and rhinitis surgery together. The aftercare was easier than before, and the swelling went down quickly too.
I’m continuing to keep an eye on my nose now.
