In 2013, I decided to get double eyelid surgery for the first time. Because I had used double eyelid glue a lot, the skin around my eyes was already quite saggy, so when I went for a hospital consultation, they recommended an incisional method. But I didn’t want scarring, so I decided on the buried suture method and had the surgery. Then it kept coming undone, so in 2015 I had revision surgery again with dual buried sutures! Then... I got a bit more ambitious, so recently I had another revision with the incisional method. Now I’m satisfied I should have just done the incisional method from the beginning. For no reason... I did the buried suture method and only ended up spending more on surgery costs. I guess there’s always a reason when the consultant and doctor recommend something.
