Review two months after revision double eyelid surgery. (Thank you, Director Kim Hyung-seok) This is long, so beware of the wall of text^.^ Since it is already long, I’ll write in short casual style, go go Eye condition- First, to explain my eyes.. 15 years ago, I had my first surgery at another hospital (yup, I’m an ajumma hahaha): incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and epicanthoplasty together. My right eye’s inner corner loosened right after surgery, so I got after-service at the same hospital 1 year later, but it loosened again not long after ^^.. lol And maybe because they touched it strangely during the second procedure, I developed a slight kinked feeling in the middle of the eye.. So this time, even if it cost more, I wanted to get the surgery done properly somewhere good Anyway, since it had been a long time, maybe the left eye had loosened too; both eyes had lots of fine wrinkly creases, so I went around to hospitals in Gangnam for consultations, and they said my eyes were difficult and high-difficulty. At one of the hospitals I went to, I was asked whether I used a lot of double eyelid tape lol. For reference, I’m terribly bad with my hands, so I can’t apply that kind of thing. Still, because of the fine wrinkly creases, I felt that if I wore makeup and did not say anything, it did not look obvious that I had double eyelid surgery, so I lived like that just fine for all those long years ^_^ lol Consultation day- First, I went for a consultation at Thank You. The consultation manager was so pretty and kind, and when I consulted with Director Kim Hyung-seok (I had already seen him several times on YouTube, so I felt super familiar with him lol, should I say I was so glad to see him..) He checked the line several times and firmly told me first that I did not need epicanthoplasty, so I almost asked one more time but did not. He said that because of my bone structure, to prevent it from loosening again, he recommended a semi-out line rather than an in-out line, and that it could actually make the distance between the eyes look slightly closer. Honestly, I wanted a naturally glamorous in-out line (I showed him Karina’s eyes hehe), so I was really, really disappointed and hesitated a lot.. Still, honestly, my stronger thought was that I needed to fix the fine wrinkly creases quickly, so when the doctor showed me the line, I said, Ah.. this is okay too ^_ Then he said that if I say everything he recommends is okay, I will definitely regret it later, and that I need to decide clearly what I want. But actually, even before going around for consultations, Director Kim Hyung-seok had been my top pick because it seemed like he was good at cleaning up lines neatly, and he looked at my eyes in the most detail, so I decided to entrust my eyes to him haha Actually, while going around for consultations, there was another hospital that confidently said, “Yes, we can do everything,” but being told to come back after clearly deciding that I myself have to like it somehow made him feel even more trustworthy. Since it was peak season, I first made a same-day reservation and left! Surgery day- I clearly told him that my goal was to reduce the distance between my eyes even by 1 mm, and that I was giving up on the in-out line. So we proceeded with a semi-out line! He also checked the line height several times. He showed me 1, 2, and 3, with 1 being the low line and 3 being the highest line, and I went with 2. (A few mm lower than my original line) He said he would also slightly do an upper canthoplasty on my right eye, and after checking that I open my eyes using my forehead, he said he would give me forehead Botox as a complimentary service!!!! Doctor, you’re the best, the best!! Thank you, I love you Maybe because I had already done it before and knew I just had to sleep briefly and wake up, I felt more excited than nervous. When I had double eyelid surgery the first time, as I fell asleep, many colors mixed, spun, surged in front of my eyes, and it felt like I was being sucked in while falling asleep, but this time, I lost consciousness before I even had time to think while lying down lol I remember Director Kim Hyung-seok waking me up in the middle and saying, “Please open your eyes~~,” and I tried to open them as naturally as possible. After a while, a nurse? woke me up saying it was over, and I was supported as I went to the recovery room! Because it was a difficult surgery, I thought it would take a long time, so my husband said he would go home, eat dinner, and come back, but he got the call while eating… lol I think the surgery took a little over an hour. After that - They said the stitches would be removed on day 5, so I worried, why are they removing them so soon? On the day they were removed, I chatted with two kind nurses, and it did not hurt at all. The inner corner area stung a little, but getting cut by paper hurts more After the stitches were removed, it felt seriously refreshing… While I was receiving the swelling laser, Director Kim Hyung-seok came in briefly, checked the line, and confirmed that it turned out pretty and well!! ^0^!!! Anyway, now it is the second month, so it is almost the same as at a month and a half, with a little residual swelling. Maybe because my face is plain, it still looks like I had double eyelid surgery lol. Since 2 weeks post-op, I have been diligently applying Dermatix. Personally, I am so satisfied because the line became clean!!! I hope the residual swelling goes down completely soon!!!! I hope everyone gets prettier ^0^!!!
