I’m 27 now, and during winter break in my third year of middle school, I had buried-incision double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty! It turned out so natural that no one notices unless I tell them. My left eye is still fine, but the right side has loosened a bit and the line has become faint, so I wanted to fix that and make the line a little higher. Today I went to 4 consultations! (Actually, people around me have sometimes said it doesn’t really look like I need to do it.. but I guess it’s just my own desire...) I’ve also gotten a lot of information here, so I’m leaving a review in case it helps. I’m attaching photos of my current eyes too!
1. ㄴㅅㅎ Plastic Surgery, Director ㄱㅈㅎ
-Wait: It was lunchtime on a weekday, so there were hardly any people. I filled out the chart and went in almost right away. -Atmosphere: Calm and clean feeling -Consultation fee: X -Anesthesia: Sedation anesthesia + local anesthesia -Price: Natural adhesion + ptosis correction + upper epicanthoplasty (mid-to-late 2 million KRW, but early 2 million if you place a provisional deposit on the day): recommended by the director Lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty (early 1 million KRW, but late 800,000 KRW range if you place a provisional deposit on the day): I asked because I wanted it. There is space for lateral canthoplasty, but it wasn’t strongly recommended; it’s my choice. -A/S 3 years -Care such as swelling laser, swelling injection, scar laser, scar injection, etc. O
Both the consultant and the director were all kind, and there was no pressure to pay a reservation deposit! They said I didn’t have to put down a deposit right then and there, and that if I let them know within today, I could still make the reservation deposit, so I said I’d think about it and left. I liked the line they designed for me. Originally I wasn’t thinking about upper epicanthoplasty and was only considering lateral + lower canthoplasty, but I really liked how they held the upper epicanthoplasty area, so I thought, oh, I definitely need upper epicanthoplasty. It really felt exactly safe and standard..!! They had me put a hand on my eyebrows and close and open my eyes, and said I was using some eyebrow strength, so they recommended ptosis correction.

-Wait: This was also weekday lunchtime, so there were hardly any people. I filled out the chart and went in right away. -Atmosphere: Even calmer and quieter feeling, they use an entire building -Consultation fee: X -Anesthesia: Sedation anesthesia -Price: Non-incisional + ptosis correction (mid 2 million KRW, but if providing photos and writing a review, mid-to-late 1 million, almost late 1 million) Incisional + ptosis correction (late 3 million KRW, but if providing photos and writing a review, mid 2 million) Upper epicanthoplasty (mid 1 million KRW, but if providing photos and writing a review, 1 million) Lateral + lower canthoplasty (mid 1 million KRW, but if providing photos and writing a review, 1 million) -A/S 1 year -I think they said they have swelling injection care! My memory is a bit fuzzy They also said this was the only hospital that has injections for sausage eyes.
Here too, both the consultant and the director were kind! The director had a cheerful vibe! They said my right eye looks loosened because the skin has sagged, and if done by incision, they can cut out the sagging skin and make it more definite. They said if done non-incisionally, the method would be to set the line a bit higher! They said both incisional and non-incisional are possible. Here too, they had me put a hand on my eyebrows and close and open my eyes, and said I was using some eyebrow strength, so they recommended ptosis correction. And after seeing how they held the upper epicanthoplasty area, I thought that no matter which hospital I choose, I definitely need upper epicanthoplasty. I liked the line they designed. Also, the consultant didn’t pressure me, but she praised the hospital a lot! She showed me photos and said the director considers natural-looking results extremely important, so even incisional cases have almost no scars. She said making incisions without scars is a matter of skill! But honestly, all the photos she showed me were so well done that I was drawn to it.. I could feel a bit of pride, so it gave me trust!
3. I originally had a reservation at ㅌㅇㅅ too, but there were too many people, so after waiting 1 hour, I just canceled and left I think there was a consultation fee, and I saw a Chinese person too!
4. ㅁㅂ Plastic Surgery, Director ㄱㅈㅎ
-Wait: There were some people, and I waited 20-30 minutes -Atmosphere: A slightly busier feeling -Consultation fee: X -Anesthesia: Sedation anesthesia + local anesthesia -Price: Natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty (early 2 million KRW, but if writing a review, mid 1 million; this event price is only with Director ㄱㅈㅎ) Eyes that don’t need ptosis correction -A/S once within 1 year -Swelling laser on the same day
Here too, both the consultant and the director were kind. Especially the consultant felt very human and warm! This was the only place that took photos with an eye camera, displayed them on a monitor, and did the consultation! The director explained while measuring the distance between my eyes and the eye length with a ruler, and said the right eye loosened because the buried suture thread had snapped or loosened. They said lateral + lower canthoplasty isn’t really necessary, but if I want it, it can be done. As I was leaving, I noticed there were Japanese people there too.
5. ㅇㅁㄷ Plastic Surgery, Director ㅇㅇㅎ
-Wait: 5-10 minutes? There were many people -Atmosphere: Maybe because there were many people, it felt a bit busy -Consultation fee: X -Anesthesia: Sedation anesthesia -Price: Natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty + sedation fee + VAT (late 1 million to early 2 million KRW, but mid-to-late 1 million when writing a review): But the number of reviews that had to be provided was relatively high, and there was also a review deposit Eyes that don’t need ptosis correction -A/S 1 year
Both the consultant and the director were kind, but maybe because I went almost in the evening, the director looked a little tired..! It was basically just answering exactly what I asked? This was the only place that didn’t ask if I had photos of the eyes I wanted. They also didn’t recommend upper epicanthoplasty first, but when I brought it up, they just said something like, if you do upper epicanthoplasty too, the line will show a bit more~ I asked whether they recommend line/canthoplasty too, but rather than saying they recommend or don’t recommend it, they just said it’s personal preference and my choice.
--------------- After going around, I’ve decided for sure to do natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty, and not to do lateral + lower canthoplasty! But I’m worried about ptosis correction Today, the first and second places both said I need ptosis correction, so I thought okay, I guess so~ But the third and fourth places said my eyes don’t need it, so I’m a bit torn...
At first, I was drawn to ㅁㅂ because the line they designed was pretty, and I felt that taking photos and explaining while measuring with a ruler was thorough. But the more I searched, the more ㅇㅇㄴㅋ seemed more trustworthy and had a lot of pretty results, so I’m drawn there too. But I’m worried because of the ptosis correction! At ㅇㅇㄴㅋ, they said many people come there after being botched elsewhere, and I could really feel their pride in revision cases, so it felt like if I do it there, it won’t be ruined...? I’m debating whether to visit a few more places.. I want to hear more opinions because of the ptosis correction!!
I wrote this down today as things came to mind after going, and I hope it helps! Recommendations for other revision hospitals are always welcome...
