After getting cheekbone reduction + square jaw surgery, what I feel most strongly now is that my impression has become much softer?? Somehow, my angular face now gives a softer impression, and before, when I had a neutral expression, people would ask, “Are you angry?” But these days, even when my face is expressionless, I don’t hear that anymore… The image seen from the front stressed me out more than the side view, and I’m thinking it seems to have been shaved down? quite satisfactorily. Even at 1 month and 2 months, I was told I had less swelling than most people, and I do think the swelling went down faster than expected. Overall, what should I call it, the empty space on my face? has decreased, so my facial features look more defined than before, which I like!!
I still have a foreign-body sensation inside my mouth, and it feels a little like it’s not my own skin? There is that kind of sensation, but they say this lasts for about 6 months, so I’m thinking it will get better as time passes. It was one of the bigger decisions in my life in its own way, so I’m relieved the result is good.
