Before <This is a photo before the revision surgery> After <This is a photo one month after surgery> This is a review of revision surgery at Iwabaek Plastic Surgery.
I had incisional-less suture double eyelid surgery at another plastic surgery clinic in the summer of 2018, and in the summer of 2023, one eye came undone, so I had revision surgery on only one side at Iwabaek Plastic Surgery.
My eyes were swollen because I had cried, and I don’t know if it was because I rubbed them, but when I looked the next morning, it had come undone.... (!)

My first surgery (July 2018, incisional-less suture method): Yeoksam B Plastic Surgery
Back then, I thought, ‘I’m not going to get any canthoplasty, and it’s a simple surgery where they just pinch it~’ (why did I think that...^^)
I didn’t even go around for consultations and just searched online and really went anywhere.
I thought of it like getting dermatology treatment... I had the consultation and surgery on the same day. Thinking about it now, the cost was really expensive too lol
But the problem then was, about a month after surgery, I went for a checkup and they said the doctor who had performed my surgery was no longer at that clinic! ;;
Another doctor did see me, but since I wasn’t their own patient, I could feel they were seeing me more out of obligation, so I was a bit flustered.

My younger sibling’s first surgery (January 2020, incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty): Iwabaek Plastic Surgery
Iwabaek Plastic Surgery was a clinic I found in early 2020 while searching hard for my sibling’s double eyelid surgery.
My sibling was a high school student, so when they asked me to choose a clinic, I didn’t want to have them do it at the same clinic I had gone to. I didn’t trust it... ^^...
And even from my perspective, epicanthoplasty and incision were essential, and their eyes were deep-set, so since they needed several procedures, I ended up looking into it more carefully.
My first condition was that, as much as possible, I looked for a clinic run by an individual director.
After experiencing the doctor in charge disappearing, I thought a clinic run by an individual director would be much better. For things like aftercare if the surgery didn’t go well, or when asking about anything I was curious about.
Second. I wanted someone with a lot of surgical experience and a lot of revision surgery experience as well.
Since revision surgery is more difficult than first-time surgery, I thought it was an indicator that could prove the director’s surgical skill and experience.
Also, revision patients would think more, search more, and then go there. I thought the second choice of someone who had already experienced surgery would be more trustworthy.
In conclusion, my sibling’s surgery was successful, and even now, 3 years later, they are very satisfied and living well with pretty eyes.
So my aunt also had surgery here. Three people in my family have done it here.... lololol
That also had a big influence when I chose a clinic for my eye revision surgery this time.

My revision surgery (May 2023, incisional-less suture method on one eye): Iwabaek Plastic Surgery
I went to the clinic where I first had surgery, and I also went to Iwabaek, but as expected, I was more drawn to Iwabaek.
Also, since it was revision surgery, I was worried it might be very expensive, but the cost was less burdensome than I expected, which was even better.
I had a wedding to attend in July, so I did it while feeling a bit worried,
but exactly ten days later, the swelling had gone down a lot, and there was only a little bruising near the outer corner of the eye and overall yellow bruising, so when I wore glasses, most people didn’t notice haha!
Around 3 weeks, there was no swelling or bruising, and it looked exactly the same as before it came undone.
Now that a month has passed, it is completely the same as before. A coworker who had surgery by incision was amazed haha
I wonder if there might still be minor swelling (I don’t feel it though), so it could get thinner,
but I’ll come back and write another review in a few months! ^^
