I had plate/screw removal surgery this Monday and have been recovering until today. On the first day, it really hurt so much. But it wasn’t like when I first had chin tip + square jaw surgery; there was no drain attached, just a steady, numb aching pain...? So I think the first and second days were relatively the hardest, and from then on everything was okay, but maybe because they made an intraoral incision, it keeps throbbing and hurting... Even though I took antibiotics, it feels like inflammation has come up, so I’m curious how it is for other people who had plate/screw removal or an intraoral incision... whether their mouth also has sharp, poking pain even though it hasn’t been a week since surgery, like me..
