I normally didn’t like how extra creases formed above my eyes when I opened them, and I also wanted to improve my somewhat blank-looking impression, so I decided to get non-incisional ptosis correction. Before the surgery, I was very worried that it would hurt, but aside from having an IV inserted into my hand for sedation anesthesia, the anesthesia worked well, so nothing else hurt at all. Also, before the surgery, the director kept reassuring me about the procedure and told me it would come out naturally, so thanks to that, I don’t think I was too nervous.
The surgery took about 30 minutes. After the surgery, I was fine enough to go home by myself, and I only felt slight stiffness when opening my eyes. After I got home and the anesthesia wore off, it felt less painful and more like my eyelids were slightly itchy and stiff.
The swelling was only a bit severe for about two days. After having the stitches removed on day 4, from day 5 onward there was only bruising, so the swelling had gone down enough that it wasn’t difficult to go outside. By about one week, I think almost all the swelling had gone down. I think the reason the swelling went down quickly was that I walked for about an hour every day, and until days 2–3, whenever I had time, I applied cold compresses around my eyes, such as the glabella, eyebrows, and the areas beside the eyes, with a cold pack.
Anyway, I started going to work after about 10 days, and by then there was really almost no swelling left, so I could focus on work without worrying about people noticing. Then a few people at work started to notice, and some said it looked really natural, and I also heard a lot that my impression had naturally improved. In reality, it has become more comfortable to open my eyes, the extra creases that used to appear when I opened my eyes wide are gone now, and when I look in the mirror, I have natural inner double eyelids, so I really feel that my eyes look gentler and more defined. The blank-looking impression has mostly disappeared, so I’m really satisfied.
In conclusion, I think I’m glad I did it lol.
