In mid-November last year, before the kids started their art college entrance prep, I took advantage of the few weeks they weren't coming in because of the CSAT and went after seeing an event on Gangnam Unni-
My nose was never really a huge complex for me, but I just... wanted to get a consultation, I guess; On my first visit, Director Lee Young-taek did the consultation, but he said he would be going overseas for some kind of conference on my surgery date. They said Director Lee Kang-woo also specializes in noses, and if I like a natural line I might like him even more, so I met and consulted with him, and I liked Director Lee Kang-woo more lololol so I ended up having surgery with him. Silicone bridge, septal cartilage, ear cartilage for the nasal tip. (Afterwards, I happened to see Director Lee Young-taek's Instagram, and um... it seemed like he went to Germany to look at cars lol, not a conference lolololol)
Thinking about it now, it was a total gamble; It wasn't a place that had been open for 10 years, and it seemed like they were just starting to establish themselves by promoting events and bringing people in.. And it seems quite a few Chinese-speaking people visit too, judging by seeing them every time I went. But I'm really, really satisfied..!
My nose was originally really, really small. Can you even breathe with that nose? (an older acquaintance) It looks like someone took a photo of your face and only shrank the nose in Photoshop (jerk ex-boyfriend) I heard things like that lol. The width of my nose was narrow and slim.
So I was worried that if I raised my nose, wouldn't it look completely unnatural?? But it's really, really natural yet high ㅠㅠ Somewhere between glamorous and natural? If I don't say, "I got my nose done," nobody knows I had it done. But I often hear that my nose is pretty, yep.
But because I have dry skin.. when removing the splint? or whatever, the tape hurt like crazy lololololololololol. I was seriously like, aaagh, it hurts so much ㅠㅠ lolololol, and the nurse said usually if you don't wash your face for a few days, oil comes up and it comes off easily~;; lololol And my nose used to have no blackheads, okay?????? Suddenly I got blackheads ㅠㅠ I still have them.. I guess it's because the pores got stretched.. grrr. It's not to the point that it bothers me a lot, but since I had never had them in my life, I'm a little annoyed.. And nose flaking too ㅠㅠㅠ I still have a little bit of this. In the beginning it was really severe, I guess.. I figure it's because the skin was stretched and shocked haha..
Until the first 2 weeks, everyone said the tip of my nose was too pointy.. that it was a total doll nose (my original nose wasn't ugly, so everyone felt upset) Someone who had experience with rhinoplasty said all of that goes down, and right now your nose basically got into a traffic accident (as a metaphor lol), so you have to consider the healing too. So I waited- Wow... even my mom, who was the most upset, doesn't bring it up anymore lolololololol. Even the new students who came this year, when I say I got my nose done, go, "Huh???? wtf, please tell me the hospital name, teacher, I'll do it after entrance exams following you" haha. My face tends to lose swelling quickly, so after 2 weeks the major swelling was all gone- (the consultant was surprised the swelling went down quickly lol) The incision scar under my nose is still ㅠㅠ red. Even though I applied Dermatix steadily ㅜㅠㅠ And inside my nose, there's a bit of scar tissue? I guess you could call it slightly raised flesh, but it doesn't bother me~ I don't know if my skin is keloid-prone ㅠ
Rhinoplasty doesn't hurt.. it's uncomfortable..! In the beginning, breathing for the first day or two is the most uncomfortable.. And the ear hurts.. For real, it feels like having 100 piercings in the ear lololololol And I kept trying to lie down on the side where the ear incision was, and my ear folded and the wound got pulled, maybe because of that there's a scar.. left ㅜㅜ But well, it's an area you can't see! hehe (When a male resident was caressing my ear, I think he saw it then lol_ lol..)
Anyway.. people say rhinoplasty is dangerous and all, and for me it really was no different from taking a gamble.. but I'm satisfied, and when people around me ask where I had it done, I actively recommend it hehe Director Lee Kang-woo, may you gain wealth and health with every breath in and out~~
+I was going to get facial contouring here from Director Lee Kang-woo too (chin advancement, long-curve mandibular resection, chin liposuction), since they said Director Lee Kang-woo is good at contouring too.. but the price ㅠㅠ was impossible to handle, so I'm currently thinking of ㅍㄹㄷ~ I liked Director Lee Kang-woo's consultation better ㅠㅠ Kind and detailed explanation, I guess.. He's gentle as a person.. ㅍㄹㄷ feels kind of like, 'Mm, I'm the best specialist'..? that kind of vibe? lololol It is professional, but the explanation is a little unsatisfying.. lolololol When I can't hold back and interrupt to ask questions, he ignores me and keeps talking ㅜㅜ lololololololol
+The consultation manager is kind~~! But the people at the other desk or in the care room? are just kind of capitalist-service..? I didn't feel they were that kind haha. Please keep that in mind!
+Director Lee Young-taek seems to pursue a "relatively" glamorous line, and Director Lee Kang-woo seems to pursue a "relatively" natural line~
