My first surgery was in 2010. I had the surgery not knowing what I was doing, so I had my eyes and nose done together, and I didn’t even know what they were putting into my nose. I had it done at a place that a lot of people went to. I think I paid 3.5 million won at the time for the eyes and nose together. It was also a hospital that had an accident, but my appearance turned out pretty, so I kept it for about 7 years. But as time passed, the tip of my nose started to droop a little like an arrow nose, and something was showing through the tip of my nose, so I decided on a revision. While getting consultations for revision surgery, I learned that Medpor had been used in my nose. I was worried because they said it could protrude, so I had the surgery quickly.
The second time, I had revision surgery at a hospital in Apgujeong that specializes only in noses, and I paid 4.4 million won. They removed everything and inserted silicone, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage. I had it done in 2017, and this place was very disappointing in terms of reputation, cost, and value for money. The foreign-body sensation lasted a long time after surgery, the shape became distorted, and the tip of my nose became bulky and even slightly upturned. Above all, because I felt the foreign-body sensation so strongly, I became very worried about side effects.
So now I’m looking into full removal. But after going around for consultations, I was told that the central support of the nose has weakened, so the nose could become lower than before, and there is also a possibility that the tip could become even more upturned.. Removal is not something you can just do however you want.
What I regret the most is, why did I even get surgery in the first place.. and if I could go back, I would absolutely never get rhinoplasty. If you’re thinking about getting your first surgery, please think carefully.
