Basically, my breasts sit low + I have no upper-breast fullness + I didn’t know, but they said I have a slight pigeon chest + I have bony asymmetry and uneven breasts.
This is my current breast condition, and I’ll write down what I remember from the consultations after visiting OO and GR.
OO (Kim) They show surgical videos They check with ultrasound during the consultation The director’s huge confidence in his surgical skill and detailed explanations -- These parts were good
The types of aftercare didn’t seem very diverse They only do transaxillary incision (if you want inframammary incision, you have to go to another director) -- These parts were disappointing
Low 300 cc range seems like the maximum, and mid-to-late 200 cc range was recommended They recommended Motiva rather than Mentor Xtra, saying it would shape the overall breast from the upper-breast area Transaxillary incision -- Diagnosis details
If I looked only at the director, I would want to have surgery there, but overall the clinic didn’t feel focused on breasts, and it seemed like they do more other surgeries than I expected. It felt more like a comprehensive plastic surgery clinic than a breast-focused plastic surgery clinic. + Other than the director, I didn’t talk at length with the consultant, so I wasn’t sure whether communication would go well after surgery. GR (Oh) They pointed out each of my physical conditions and proportions one by one They found cases with bodies really similar to mine and showed me photos A breast surgery specialist handles the surgery/ultrasound/follow-up dressing Rather than explaining in a coaxing way, they explained as if they were concerned about my postoperative outcome (Not the kind of explanation that says it will definitely turn out pretty, but more like, this part may not turn out well) -- These parts were good
There was no room to compromise on size (mid-200 cc range) -- This part was disappointing
I have a bit of pigeon chest and bony asymmetry, and my breast position is lower than average like a Westerner’s, so if I increase the size, upper-breast bulging could be severe, and the breasts may look elongated, almost like sagging breasts. They recommended the mid-200 cc range. For implants, my tissue is not firm and is on the delicate side, so they recommended Motiva. Transaxillary or inframammary incision is my choice, but if comparing, inframammary incision is a bit more advantageous for shaping and creating the breast pocket. -- Diagnosis details
They seem to have many revision-surgery patients too, and the atmosphere is that their breast surgery skill is acknowledged. I also saw many people coming in for aftercare, and the consultant seemed to maintain a very good relationship even with patients from several years ago. I felt the hospital staff responded really well, so if I had surgery there, I thought I wouldn’t get upset over communication. When I asked the director questions during consultation, he answered everything. He was direct, but rather than talking around things, it was easy to understand, so I liked that. However, the size was much smaller than I had expected, and instead of hearing that my breasts would become pretty after surgery, I heard that they could look long and that the shape I had in mind might not be possible, so I couldn’t decide whether it was right to have surgery. Other than that, looking only at the clinic, I was satisfied. They show all CCTV and offer lifetime AS.
Objectively, I think both are clinics worth going to for a consultation. Neither had a severe wait, and most of the time I was consulted right away! I haven’t booked either of them yet X I’m going to think more and maybe visit other places too.
