Changes after surgery They say I’m still in the process of swelling going down because it’s only the 3rd month, but compared with the beginning, I think almost all the swelling has gone down. To explain the recovery process in detail from the first day, on the first day after surgery the anesthetic gas had to leave my body, so I had to try to stay awake, but I was sleepy, so it was hard to keep waking myself up. There was someone dedicated to me overnight, so if anything was hard I wrote it in a notebook and showed them, and they cared for me! Since it was general anesthesia, my bronchi were irritated, and phlegm kept getting stuck, making me retch,, I also had to be careful coughing, so it was hard to hold it in. On days 3 and 4, the swelling was severe, so when taking medicine I had to open my mouth, and I had to force it open to take it. Taking medicine was really hard. After about a week like that, I was okay except for being hungry, and I also went to work! Of course, I was still very swollen, so people noticed right away.. My voice didn’t come out for about a week, but it all recovered, so if you’re anxious because your voice doesn’t come out, you don’t have to worry too much!!
At about 1 month, maybe because the nerves in my chin tip were coming back, it was extremely tingling, and the tightening feeling? was strong, so I was anxious that something had gone wrong, but after about a week, the symptoms improved, sensation came back, and it became okay! At first, since it was my first time feeling those symptoms, I worried a lot, but this part is also all part of the recovery process, so you can feel reassured. And since I was carefully eating food, I naturally lost a lot of weight. Walking is effective for swelling to go down, so you need to walk + drink pumpkin juice + drink lots of water! Now in the 3rd month, I’m honestly eating too well, so my weight has come back, but it’s amazing that time has already passed like this.
I’m living so satisfied that I feel like my life after surgery has completely changed. When taking photos, unlike before, I have confidence now, and the thing I think I did best in life is having the courage to get surgery..? That’s how satisfied I am. My biggest concern, my cheekbones, also went in, so I feel like I look much younger, and I’m happy every time I look in the mirror.
As for reactions around me, I saw my younger sibling for the first time at 1 month, and they were surprised, asking why my impression had changed so much, saying I looked about 5 years younger haha. I didn’t tell any of my friends, but everyone reacted by asking if I had lost weight, why my face looked younger, things like that! haha I’m excited to see what it’ll be like at 6 months!!
