Review of Zygoma + Square Jaw + Cortical Bone Surgery

Before<surgery before>Before<surgery before>After<after surgery >After<after surgery>After<after surgery>I had 3 types of facial contouring surgery in early November. The surgical areas were <zygoma + square jaw + cortical bone>. I had the surgery because my protruding cheekbones and angular jaw made me look a bit masculine and old-fashioned. It’s already been over 3 months since surgery.! First of all, not all the swelling has gone down yet, but my face shape has definitely become much softer and more feminine. My jaw area has also become slimmer, so from the front, side, or below, it looks slim and my face feels smaller. As for sensation, there was nowhere that had no feeling after surgery, and I had tingling and numbness in my chin, but that’s gone now too. I regularly practice opening my mouth until three fingers can fit in, and I’m also practicing a lot by pulling the chin muscles upward so my lower lip can close well. I haven’t tried tough meat like pork belly, so I’m not sure, but I can eat most foods well. I don’t have any particular discomfort with facial movements such as smiling, talking, yawning, or sneezing.~ Of course, I’ll know more after more time passes, but even so, right now I feel it was a choice I don’t regret.

- I have my own brain-based theory, so when choosing a hospital, I went around for consultations excluding plastic surgery clinics. I mainly looked into oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics, and chose the hospital for surgery that way too. Because I thought they would understand facial bones better and operate more safely.

< Everyone has a different perspective when looking into hospitals, so please don’t think too deeply about this. >

And when it comes to reducing swelling, I think diligence is the best. After discharge, I walked 2 hours a day, and from the 5th day after surgery I went back to work and returned to daily life haha I think that’s why the swelling went down quickly. I just hope my chin muscles get better soonㅜㅜ Everyone recovering, fighting fighting
