Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

Review after visiting 2 clinics

I’d wanted to get double eyelid surgery since high school, but I was scared of ending up with sausage eyes, so I kept putting it off and off until I became 30 ^^;;; I wanted to do it, but I didn’t really have a clear idea like exactly how I wanted it done; I just strongly felt, “I want to do it!” So I narrowed it down to three places whose reviews I liked and went for consultations.

1. ㄸㅋ Plastic Surgery, Director ㄱㅎㅅ * No consultation fee * Waiting time under 15 minutes * Natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty around 2.5 million KRW, event price around 1.3 million KRW (conditions: reviews on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ, ㅂㅂㅌ) * Consultation order: consultant / director / consultant * A/S free within 1 year; after that, they said it would cost about the materials fee + anesthesia fee

At first, the consultant explained that, from what she saw, she thought the director would recommend this and that type of surgery. I showed photos of the eyes I wanted, and without asking anything else, it just ended. Then I saw the director. I had never once thought in my life that I opened my eyes using my eyebrow muscles, but he said I use my eyebrow muscles a lot. Also, I had lived thinking it was fat my whole life, but he said it wasn’t eye fat, it only looked like fat because the skin was pressing down, so there was no need for fat removal. He said a forehead lift would probably be good (I said I didn’t want it), but if I didn’t want to do it, I didn’t really have to.

He held about three different lines for me, and I liked them. All three were pretty. For surgery, he recommended natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty [an inline crease with the front slightly open]. Then I met the consultant again and discussed the price, A/S, surgery date, etc. There was no particular pressure, not much waiting, and they were reasonably kind.

2. ㅇㅇㄱㄹ Plastic Surgery, Director ㅈㄱㅇ * No consultation fee * Waiting time under 15 minutes * Natural adhesion + epicanthoplasty around 1.5 million KRW * Consultation order: consultant / director / consultant * A/S free within 1 year; after that, they said it would cost about the materials fee + anesthesia fee

The director looked at my eyes and said I use a lot of eyebrow strength, and here too I was recommended a forehead lift. But I said I didn’t want to do a forehead lift, and then here, when they held the line, they held it while pressing down on my forehead. They told me that after surgery, my eyes would settle downward? So they held the line with my forehead pressed down, and the line wasn’t extremely pretty, but I thought it wasn’t bad either. They explained things medically from different angles very well, so I immediately felt trust.

For surgery, they recommended fat removal + epicanthoplasty + incisional double eyelid surgery, but since it would be my first surgery and incision felt kind of burdensome, I said I wanted non-incisional buried sutures. They said the surgical result would be the same, but the difference is maintenance. They said buried sutures would be fine too if I wanted, but the director would prefer incision. But this was all my choice, and they didn’t pressure me.

*I want plastic surgery, but I don’t know much about it, so I went into the consultation with a friend who used to work at a plastic surgery clinic, and my friend recommended ㅇㅇㄱㄹ more. My friend has had revision surgery once with buried sutures and three times with incision, and said incision can come undone too, depending on the person. She said if it’s the first surgery, buried sutures are fine too, so I’m thinking about buried sutures!   Would there be a big difference in the results between upper epicanthoplasty and epicanthoplasty?

Lastly, I have a consultation booked at ㅈㅇㅌ Plastic Surgery with Director ㅇㅇㅎ at the end of the month, so I’m going to listen to what they say there and then decide on surgery! Thanks for reading my rambling!
