One-Month Review After Double Eyelid Surgery (Upper Epicanthoplasty + Ptosis Correction)

Before <(eyes before surgery)> After <(the day after surgery)> After <(after stitch removal)> <(one month)> I had incision double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + upper epicanthoplasty. Since it was an incision surgery, I naturally thought the major swelling would last much longer, but it seems to have gone down faster than expected. I wasn't exactly very diligent with aftercare lol.. I only worked hard on compresses until before the stitches were removed.. and I think I drank about 4 packs of pumpkin juice? That was about it, so I think it is because the surgery was done well.

Until the end, I was deciding between the hospital where I had surgery and another hospital, but I think I made a good choice. The other hospital I was considering was a large hospital, and they recommended ptosis correction + upper epicanthoplasty + incision. When I was seriously thinking about double eyelid surgery and researching it, I saw so many cases of side effects from ptosis correctionㅠㅠㅠ Even though I knew I had mild ptosis, I was so anxious that I asked whether it would be okay not to do ptosis correction. The director said that if I did not want it, I did not have to do it, but the difference in how much of the iris would be visible after surgery could not be helped. I said I understood for the moment and then came to the hospital where I ended up having surgery for a consultation, and here too they said I needed ptosis correction.. lol They said because my eyes lacked strength and I kept opening my eyes with my forehead, I was getting forehead wrinkles, and since the sizes of both eyes were different, I should do it. When I asked whether it would be okay not to do it, they took a photo of my face and showed it to me, then firmly said I needed it.. haha And during the consultation, they showed me many case photos of people who had ptosis correction and explained what ptosis correction surgery is. After finishing the consultation with the director, I came out and had a consultation with the manager and got the estimate.

The atmosphere at both hospitals was good, and all the doctors were kind, but the hospital I chose explained things more thoroughly, the director had a long career, and when I hesitated, they seemed to pay a bit more attention to what I was worried about.

Actually, the hospital where I had surgery was recommended by an acquaintance, but the reason I hesitated until the end was that they said I absolutely needed ptosis correction. Still, my acquaintance's surgery turned out really well, and my acquaintance's acquaintances also all had good results, so I decided on it. But in the end, it was a good choice because if I had not done ptosis correction and had only done incision surgery, it would really have just felt like drawing a line above my eyes, and I don't think there would have been much of a difference. And after doing it properly, I definitely no longer open my eyes with my forehead, so opening my eyes is much more comfortable and I do not get wrinkles on my forehead.

(The hospital where I had surgery is Ewabaek Plastic Surgery in Gangnam. It is a private clinic, so there is one director.)
