First, there were broadly three points I wanted to change after rhinoplasty: 1. A semi-straight line 2. A sharp, defined nasal tip 3. Slimmer, more delicate nostrils (clear correction of a bulbous nose) I had also saved reference photos to show during the consultation, and by my standards, Winter had all of those conditions combined. So I brought that photo of Winter with me!

Both donated costal cartilage and autologous costal cartilage are possible, but they said that since I myself (the one getting the consultation lol) am past my late 20s, autologous costal cartilage would probably be okay. They said they recommend donated costal cartilage to younger people because of the scar...ㅠ Overall, the consultation was fine. The director looked a bit young, but during the consultation he was kind and seemed sincere. But maybe because I did not really feel much experience from him, I was not strongly drawn to the place.. All I kept noticing was the director’s elephant bandana lol. He also hummed often.. (these are the only things I remember) Depending on the need, ear cartilage may be used for the nasal tip. After hearing the cost explanation, I said I wanted to think about it more, and the consultant really held onto me. She kept asking me so~~ many times to pay the reservation deposit before leaving, so it felt a bit burdensome.. Since I was being held there anyway, I asked if I could view the CCTV, and they said yes. But only the first 30 minutes are free, and if I want to watch the full video, it costs an additional 200,000 won. After hearing that, I internally concluded, ah, I cannot do it here.

The clean, pretty interior stood out, like a famous Instagram cafe. : Here too, they started explaining donated costal cartilage and autologous costal cartilage, saying my septum was small and surgery using only that would have minimal effect. But maybe because at ㅇㅇㅂ I had heard, “You are in your late 20s, so use autologous costal cartilage...” I was thinking of saying during this consultation that I wanted donated costal cartilage lololㅠ But the consultant first told me to use donated costal cartilage because it was my first surgery. I wondered if the two differed in cost?? So I asked, and she said autologous costal cartilage is much more expensive, but for a first surgery they recommend donated costal cartilage over autologous costal cartilage... It is the patient’s choice, but they said they do not pressure people to use autologous costal cartilage. So I received the explanation and cost estimate based on donated costal cartilage. The nasal tip would use ear cartilage. The director also had a lot of experience, and throughout the consultation he showed so much expertise that I really trusted him. Since it is a one-doctor clinic, both the consultant and the director seemed very confident in their own clinic! When unfamiliar terms came up, they explained them in a way I could understand easily. There was no pressure from the consultant to make a reservation. She said I could think about it enough and come back. I can also view the CCTV (the full video). But the thing is.. they said my nose does not need bulbous nose correction (????) They said because my face and nose are small, the nose area only looks relatively wide, so nostril reduction was completely ruled out...ㅠ ㅠ That is not the shape I wanted... So for now, I am keeping it as an option.

But the consultation was really long. When I came out and checked the time, I was shocked that so much time had passed lol. That is how thoroughly and kindly both the director and consultant explained everything.. Also, when I came out after the consultation, I think this clinic had the most young men among all the plastic surgery clinics I have seen haha. Were most of them there for nose consultations? I showed the director Winter’s photo, and he gave his diagnosis while comparing it with my nose. The first thing he pointed out was the bulbous nose.. He said bulbous nose correction would definitely be included (because I emphasized that I absolutely wanted my nose shape to become more delicate), and that nasolabial angle correction was also needed. He said that way, the line looks smooth from the side and there is no optical illusion of the mouth protruding. He said he does not use ear cartilage. If needed, he uses the septum... This part was different from the previous clinics, so it especially stayed in my memory. As I went around getting consultations, I unknowingly started losing confidence, so I pointed to the photo I had shown him and asked gloomily, “Can I really look like this...” The director answered very confidently that it was possible, so I felt good lol. The consultant also told me several times that the director’s bulbous nose correction is really definite, so my trust built up. There was no pressure to pay a reservation deposit. Here too, like ㅍㄹㅇㅂ, they told me to think about it enough and come back.
All three places said the same thing: my nose needs short nose correction + I do not have much septal cartilage. Since this was the common opinion after taking CT scans, I thought it probably was not overdiagnosis. But ㅇㅇㅂ, which immediately recommended autologous costal cartilage, is definitely removed from my list.. The CCTV cost too ㅠㅠ Even if the first 30 minutes are free, that would probably only show anesthesia and such, so I cannot trust it.. I liked them in this order: ㅂㄴㄴ > ㅍㄹㅇㅂ > ㅇㅇㅂ I have two consultations left, ㄱㄴ and ㄴㅅㅎ, so I think I should go to both and then decide.
