A one-doctor clinic I went after a local ENT clinic identified that my functional issues were severe, so the consultation was quick. That is why I focused on ENT specialists / function over aesthetics and consulted two places.
Right after the CT scan, I went straight into the consultation with the doctor. They took a close look at my septum and said my size was lacking by that much compared with average, so they recommended autologous costal cartilage. It was a short consultation, but I strongly got the impression that they were highly specialized on the ENT side (in a positive way).
It was my first surgery and I have a timid personality, but the reason for using autologous rib cartilage was persuasive. I asked about the line I wanted, and because I wanted it natural, they said a straight-but-slightly-slanted line of about 3 mm would do. They drew it out and explained from what point it would start and what shape it would become.
In conclusion: functional surgery, a natural line, non-open approach, and autologous rib cartilage.
The quote was on the high side compared with what I expected. Without insurance reimbursement / event discounts / etc., it was around 7 million won. With everything applied, the actual price felt like the mid-4 million won range. I asked the consulting manager whether negotiation was possible, but was told that aside from medication prescription service or the currently running events, price negotiation was not possible.
It felt to me like the doctor consultation was longer than the consultation with the manager.

This place also has one doctor.
I went there because I heard it is famous for revision surgery. They also did a CT here, and I first met the consulting manager, who was very kind. The doctor was cheerful and confident, which I liked. Compared with the first hospital, the explanation focused more on aesthetics than function. Using cotton swabs and a mirror, they pointed out one thing at a time and explained the current condition and how they would reflect that in the plan. One of the things they said was that they would slightly lower the nostril wings so the nostrils would not show, and since my expression showed that I could not really picture that part, the manager later showed me detailed comparison photos even though I had not specifically requested them. I thought that was very meticulous.
In addition to the functional surgery, I was quoted for silicone 3 mm, septum, and ear cartilage, with 4 mm at the nasal tip.
The quote was in the mid-4 million won range excluding insurance reimbursement / events. The actual felt price was around the high-2 million to 3 million won range.
I was told that if autologous rib cartilage were used, the functional portion of the quote would stay the same, while the aesthetic portion would roughly double. They also explained why they did not recommend autologous rib cartilage, and that was also very persuasive, so I ended up thinking about it deeply.
Usually people decide by trusting the doctor, and the doctor consultation here was good too, but in my opinion what stood out most here was really the kindness and meticulousness of the consulting manager. Of course, that can vary from person to person.
Actually, after the consultations, I felt that I probably would not have major regrets whichever of the two places I chose, so I put down a same-day reservation deposit at the place that fit my schedule.
If I end up not liking the shape or if complications happen and I need another surgery, I will probably go to the other place.
I hope the surgery goes well and I can finish it in one go.
If anyone here has gone to either of these two places, please leave a short review of how it was.
