Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

A very late review of dual canthoplasty.. lololol

Before <Before dual canthoplasty~~><Day 1><Day 2><Day 3><Day 5><Day 6><One week><One month~> Actually, I had it done last year, but I’m so so so bored right now that I’m posting a review. I can’t go out because of COVID, and on top of that I got a stye... I’m planning to go to the hospital tomorrow....

The reason I decided to get surgery was because the outer corners of my eyes were especially upturned..!! Every day, I’d look in the mirror and pull them down with my hands, thinking, “I wish they would just come down this much~~” (I’m not the only one who does this, right???) Originally, when I thought of canthoplasty, I only knew about epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty, but there are so many different types of canthoplasty, you know? So I went around for consultations at several hospitals famous for canthoplasty and had the surgery.

I knew that conjunctival edema could happen after canthoplasty, but when it actually happened to me, I was pretty flustered. The swelling actually wasn’t that bad on the day of surgery, but I think it was the worst on days 2~3. I don’t know where day 4 went.. lololol It’s been a long time since I took the photos, so I don’t have one, but I think it probably started going down a lot from day 4.

I had the stitches removed on day 6!!~

So far, I haven’t developed a lacrimal lake? or had any side effects, but until about one month after surgery, my eyes felt a bit dry. But for this, time really is the answer.. lolol The consultant said everything would get better with time, and it really did.. hehe But if you originally have dry eye syndrome, I think you’ll probably need artificial tears for about a month??

It’s been a while since I dug through N Drive and released the photos I had taken, and memories from last year are coming back one by one.... My eyes definitely look softer after the surgery hehe I don’t regret having the surgery hehe If your outer eye corners are upturned and you’re looking into canthoplasty, I highly highly recommend dual canthoplasty
