I had almost no volume in my face overall, and after a buried-suture double eyelid surgery 16 years ago I developed a sunken eye hole, so I went in for a consultation to ask whether I should redo the double eyelids or whether I could just fill the eye hole. They said it would be much more effective to redo the double eyelids, and then asked, you’re not wanting a big-eyed look, are you? They mixed in informal speech here and there, which annoyed me. They said autologous fat grafting for the eye hole is absolutely not recommended because the fat won’t be distributed evenly, there are more side effects, and if it fails, revision surgery becomes much, much harder. In the end they recommended double eyelid surgery, but since I was already lifting my brows with forehead muscles when opening my eyes, they told me to just get Botox between the eyebrows before going, haha. I left because the consultation felt more like a pushy salesperson than kindness. Still, because I’d heard this clinic is known in Gwangju for pursuing a natural look, the procedure cases were so appealing that I was tempted.
