Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Finally Completed the Nostril Base Reduction I’d Been Considering My Whole Life

Before before before<Alar wings that spread a lot when smiling>Before<Round nostrils>After<One month after surgery>After<Immediately after surgery>After<When smiling broadly after surgery>After<Elongated nostrils>Hello~ After spending 6 years only thinking about nose surgery, I finally had nose surgery this time, and I’m leaving a review hoping it helps others who are thinking about it.

My biggest concerns were wide alar bases and a bulbous nose.

I went for consultations at about ten hospitals, but none really appealed to me, so just when I was about to give up again, I learned about this clinic through an acquaintance’s recommendation.

The surgeries I had were three-dimensional alar base reduction (alar base reduction, alar rim lift, making straight nostrils (I don’t remember the term)), and artificial dermis grafting to the columella.

The reasons I chose this clinic

1. The look I pursued matched well with the clinic’s aesthetic goal

- They pursue naturalness that fits your own face. While looking into alar base reduction, I saw many reviews where the alar bases looked pinched, so I was worried, but the director here seemed like someone who absolutely would not do that even if I begged to make them look pinched, so I could have the surgery with peace of mind. What I felt while going to many plastic surgery clinics is that, even though plastic surgery clinics are still hospitals, there are almost no places where the doctor clearly suggests alternatives as a professional. Of course, cosmetic surgery is an area of choice, but personally, I trust hospitals where the director has clear beliefs and convictions based on accumulated experience. Those beliefs and convictions matched exactly the beauty I wanted, so I had no choice but to choose this hospital.

2. A bulbous nose can be improved to some extent without open surgery

Open nasal tip surgery felt burdensome because it is a fairly major surgery, but they said that if artificial dermis is grafted to the columella to create a pretty nasolabial angle, the nasal tip can look a bit lifted from the side and the bulbous nose can improve from the front too. The effect inevitably has to be less than with open surgery, but since I was scared of open surgery, I liked it a lot and said I would do it right away.

3. The alar base reduction is very systematic

Usually, alar base reduction is simply considered cutting and removing tissue through an incision, so at other hospitals it is treated more like an option added to bridge or nasal tip surgery. But this clinic is known as specializing in alar base reduction, and there were many types of surgery even for one nostril. The price does become that much higher, but it seemed like they try to make you as pretty as possible through the nostrils alone.

Those are the reasons I chose this clinic, and in conclusion, I am very satisfied.

Postoperative discomfort: It has been a little over a month since I had surgery. During that time, smiling was uncomfortable, but now that more than a month has passed, smiling is becoming more comfortable day by day! Other than the pulling sensation when smiling, there was almost nothing especially uncomfortable.

Pain: Surprisingly, there was also no postoperative pain. Many reviews said the anesthetic injections during surgery were sooo painful, and I’m not especially good at tolerating pain either, but it was bearable enough. More than the injections, I found the sensation of my nose being stitched a little difficult. It didn’t hurt at all, but not being under sedation was a bit hard. Still, it ended quickly, so it wasn’t unbearable.

Daily life: Even immediately after surgery, it looked really natural, so daily life is possible. If you don’t say anything, absolutely no one knows you had surgery!

No one knows, to the point it feels disappointing.. lololol꙼̈ Even the family I live with..

Progress: As the alar bases got smaller, strangely my facial line feels more refined! If my face used to have a strong cute impression, now it feels a little more innocent and delicate..? It’s not a dramatic change where everyone would say I became prettier, but I know it lol꙼̈ Unless your alar bases are really large, you shouldn’t expect a big change!
