Today I came in for my 4-week follow-up after jaw and cheekbone surgery, and I’m going to write the review I couldn’t write before.
On the day of surgery, I had a really hard time because of the anesthesia, but the nurse stayed there and took care of various things, so I was discharged without major issues. (I don’t know if it was because the hospital room was dry, because of swelling, or because of the anesthesia, but it was hard to breathe... ㅠㅠ)
Honestly, maybe because of the postoperative swelling, my jaw also seemed to have become much shorter, so my anxiety was at MAX, but as the swelling slowly went down, it became much more natural, and now I’m satisfied.
Actually, after having surgery, I started wanting it to be a little more dramatic.. During the consultation, the director compared my bone size with the average size by bone area, but honestly, since you know your own face best, I recommend deciding your direction for yourself from the start before getting the consultation.
Today I came for my follow-up after 4 weeks, and honestly I was really worried.. One week after surgery, I chewed food and regretted it, and I accidentally slept on my side, so my anxiety flared up again because I was afraid of nonunion, but they fixed everything very firmly, so the bones are really well attached.
Maybe because they specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery, I felt they pursue safety while improving aesthetic aspects, so if that matches the look you’re aiming for, I recommend them. (To make it dramatic, they inevitably have to shave bone or move bone excessively, and because that can cause functional problems later, overall I felt they don’t push things too far << this is my personal opinion.)
Anyway, the conclusion is that if you’re going to have facial contouring surgery, I really recommend putting this place on your consultation list and getting a consultation haha. As the person who had surgery there, I recommend this hospital.
