Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

This is my sixth revision surgery review

**Warning: pores and blemishes***

  1,2,3 - after surgery 4,5 - before surgery

Because I was dissatisfied with the shape, I had my third revision surgery (Gore-Tex + ear cartilage + septal strut, no septal extension) and lived well for over 10 years, but the ear cartilage in my nasal tip was absorbed, making it look blunt and upturned, and because I was anxious that Gore-Tex would be difficult to remove if complications occurred, I had revision surgery 2 years ago and it was a total failure (upturned nose, bulbous nose, uneven nostrils, pointy nose, twisted columella, difficulty breathing, red nasal bridge),, then a year later I had another revision at a different hospital using ear cartilage, but the glabella was high and the nasal tip was low, so I ended up looking older,,

After having touched my nose five times, I thought there would be no more surgery, (at this point I should make a deep apology to my noseㅎ) but every time I looked in the mirror or took photos, I got stressed, so I did it thinking this would truly be my last surgery,,,

When I had my fifth revision surgery, I went to consultations at more than 10 places, so this time I narrowed it down to just 3 places and went for consultations, and decided on the hospital that seemed the safest (autologous costal cartilage + silicone + nostril lowering),,

Even though it was autologous costal cartilage surgery, it was done under sedation and took about 2 and a half hours,, For the autologous costal cartilage surgical site, rather than pain, it was uncomfortable because I had to be careful when moving so the wound wouldn’t open They told me to wear an abdominal binder for about 3 weeks so the wound wouldn’t open, and during that time I lost a lot of belly fat, which was nice,, ㅎㅎ Also, since my scars tend to swell up like keloids, I was worried the scar would be severe,, but the incision line itself isn’t big, so I don’t think it will bother me too much,, This is the scar after managing it for about a month with a Contractubex patch,, It’s only been a month, so I’ll keep managing it, and if it’s still lacking later, I’ll do laser treatment,, (Among scar ointments Dermatix, Noscarna, and Contractubex, Contractubex worked best for me,,,)

And the part I was most worried about was nostril lowering,, There are so many people who said it went wrong, and I had heard a lot that nostril lowering is something you shouldn’t do, so I was worried what if it failed again,, but maybe because I wanted a round nasal tip, I liked it so much,,

Before, I hated my pointed nostrils and nasal tip without volume, so as soon as the splint came off, I was so happy~

Honestly, until week 3 I wondered if it was too high,, but once it reached the one-month mark, it settled naturally, so I don’t think there will be any more nose surgery in my life now,,
