Double-eyelid surgery consultation review... I have no cosmetic surgery experience, and I was looking into my first eye surgery. I'll write this in the order I visited. Since it was my first eye surgery, I told every clinic, "I want surgery with non-incisional buried sutures," and each place gave me a different diagnosis? recommendation.
1. ㄸㅋ First of all, there were re~ally a lot of people. The wait had to be long..ㅠㅠ The consultant and doctor were kind, but overall they were busy, so I felt a bit self-conscious about asking everything at leisure. (Maybe I only thought that because I'm an introvert..ㅜㅜㅋㅋ) Since it was my first eye surgery, I said I absolutely wanted buried sutures!!! But they said my eyes have overlapping folds, so they would need to release the adhesion with an incision and do fat grafting to the upper eyelid area. They said if I did buried sutures, it would come undone... and that the fat grafting would be done with a syringe. On the condition of participating in the event, incision was 1.29 million KRW, fat grafting was 600,000 KRW, total 1.89 million KRW. I don't remember whether VAT was separate ㅜㅜ I could feel that the director was trying to match my needs as much as possible, but since he was so busy, he answered only exactly what I asked, and the consultation ended. I had searched a lot before going, but since it was my first consultation, I froze and couldn't ask much ㅠㅠ For now, I was planning to decide after visiting all the places I had booked consultations with, so I left without making a reservation.
2. ㅌㅇㅅ The consultant seemed like someone with a lot of experience. She spoke really well, and because of that, the appeal of "our clinic is good!" was pretty strong. The doctor was already very famous, and as soon as he looked at my eyes, he immediately identified that they were asymmetrical, that the strength when opening each eye was different, and the cause of the overlapping folds. He said buried sutures would be difficult, and that incision + upper-eyelid fat repositioning + ptosis correction would probably work. The price was 3.2 million KRW, but if I participated in the event, it would be 2.4 million KRW.. After talking... I liked the line they designed here more, but I wasn't drawn to the overall atmosphere, so I didn't choose it.
3. ㅇㄴㅋ This place wasn't extremely large-scale, so it was less crowded, and because of that I felt more comfortable.. I had a consultation with the head director, and even though I kept saying I wanted buried sutures, he talked about incision + ptosis correction. Because the overlapping-fold issue has a high chance of recurring.. he said incision is absolutely necessary for a fundamental solution. The doctor was re~~~ally kind... By then I had been to 2 places... so I had questions and asked them rapid-fire, but he answered everything kindly without making me feel rushed at all. The total price was 2.53 million KRW... and there was no event, and he said, "You don't have to write a review, don't worry about it!" so I liked that even more ㅋㅋ I think the previous two clinics said aftercare/AS was 1 year, but this place said 2 years...
4. ㅇㅇㅍ This was the clinic that gave me the longest and most detailed consultation (both the consultant and the doctor). They also said aftercare/AS is 2 years here, but the price changes depending on whether you participate in the event.. But the director here said that if they make an incision on my eyes now, my skin is so thin that the incision line would likely be more visible than on others, and my impression would probably become much stronger, which might not suit my current facial image. He said an incision would be right for a fundamental solution, but when thinking about the image I already have, non-incisional natural adhesion would probably look the prettiest... What I was so grateful for was.. even though it was just a consultation, he kept designing lines on my eyes and thought about it so much by himselfㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Ah.. incision? No.. non-incisional is definitely prettier.. Ah.. but the overlapping folds.. Ah.. he was like thisㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ And I asked first about ptosis correction, and he said if I wasn't going to be extremely bothered by a slight difference in the lines and I just wanted to fix the overlapping folds! then natural adhesion alone would be fine, but if I wanted to try to make them a bit more symmetrical, he also recommended ptosis correction. (Because the strength when opening each eye is different..) The doctor's conclusion was... whether the overlapping folds recur or not is something we can watch, so natural adhesion would probably look the prettiest.. That was it. (I understood it this way... but it could be my own interpretationㅋㅋㅋㅋ) But in the end, does that mean I can't avoid revision surgery later? Is he suggesting natural adhesion while keeping that in mind? I suddenly feel intimidated and worried ㅠㅠ The total price was 1.4 million KRW for non-incisional ptosis correction + natural adhesion, and that was the event participation price.
In the end, I ultimately placed a deposit at number 4 and left. I had also booked ㅈㄷ, but there were way too many people, so the consultation would have been much later, and I just canceled it... I still don't know whether getting double-eyelid surgery is the right choice.. I can cancel until next week, but I'm really struggling with the decisionㅠㅠㅠㅠ It's my first surgery, so please give me advice...ㅠㅠㅜ
