My double eyelid surgery went wrong and made my eyes uneven, so I worked hard visiting places for revision eye surgery ㅠㅠ To start with the conclusion, among the clinics I’m writing about now, there is one where I’ve already completed surgery, and I thought my information might help everyone, so I’m writing this!! I’ll leave out personal feelings?? as much as possible and focus only on delivering information.

It felt like a calm private clinic without a crowded marketplace vibe. The consultant’s energy was calm to the point that I felt she seemed a bit unenthusiastic..? That doesn’t mean the explanations were lacking, but there were many things I had to ask first, about 60-70% of them. The consultant first asked about the surgery technique or method I wanted and gave me a general diagnosis about the surgical method. The director examined me in detail, and said that although my eyes are uneven, they protrude slightly, so I’m a good case for revision surgery. The recommended method was that since my first surgery was buried suture, the revision should be incision, and for canthoplasty, my eyes would be suitable even for full canthoplasty. But they said issues like conjunctival edema of the eyeball can naturally occur. For the line, both dramatic and natural were possible, but the director recommended a slightly dramatic to naturally glamorous style.
Good points: They had a lot of confidence about canthoplasty. Said there was no chance it would become D-shaped. Disappointing points: The line was a bit high ㅠㅠ Also, AS isn’t available for temporary phenomena like conjunctival edema.. I don’t remember exactly, but I think they said AS requests are possible up to 1 year. The cost was the highest.

It was the biggest clinic I visited and had the most patients. The waiting time was much longer than the consultation time.. Still, the consultant was very kind, and what was interesting was that here, the consultant drew the line first! As an F-type, I was a little touched that she comforted me, saying I must have been upset that my eyes became uneven.. I felt the director was extremely meticulous. They said that for eye surgery, rather than setting the goal as doing 100% of what I want, since it’s a revision, I should think of it as having things to give up and things to gain. They said the line should be redone with incision and that ptosis correction also needs to be redone ㅠㅠ When I said I was debating epicanthoplasty, they said if I really wanted canthoplasty, I should do upper canthoplasty rather than front. The lines they generally drew were in-out lines.
Good points: The director’s opinion was very clear. Disappointing points: The wait is too long... There were also many foreigners, so the clinic itself felt a bit factory-like ㅠㅠ

It was clean, and the staff at the desk? were extremely kind, so I remember that. The consultant was also kind throughout the consultation, and I liked that at the very beginning they asked detailed questions first, such as allergies, medical history, whether I had used double eyelid glue, and when my first surgery was. The director explained the structure of the eye, showed me how I open my eyes using forehead strength while lifting my eyebrows, and directly touched and showed how the eye shape would change if a certain canthoplasty was done, so it was easy to understand. They designed the line and eye shape very meticulously, and until the end of the consultation, they repeatedly asked whether I had any more questions and guided the explanation.
Good points: Not only the director but also the consultant gave a very detailed and professional consultation. When I said I was worried about incision revision surgery, they confidently said they would do it well without scars and that aftercare was also well set up. Disappointing points: Cost..? It was the second most expensive among the places I visited, but since it’s revision surgery, I kept thinking then that I should consider the surgical result more than the cost..
Now I’ve finished surgery and am waiting for the swelling to go down. I’ve had various surgeries, but when it comes to eyes, I’ve even had revision surgery now.. I wrote this because I hope everyone can finish with their first surgery.
