1 year 6 month review after crooked nose surgery (osteotomy + columellar cartilage)

Hello This is my second post after writing my 3-month review.

After my first surgery, when the nose protector? was removed, my nose was really I-shaped. Before that, it was like >. But after I lost some weight and the surgical swelling went down, it wasn’t a perfect I shape.

During the preoperative consultation, I was told that after surgery it could bend again to some extent, so I wasn’t too surprised. Also, there is quite a difference in height between the left and right sides of my face, so I had expected it.

Because of a previous fracture, it used to be very much in a > shape, so I’m grateful even for how it looks now.

However, the osteotomy area (during surgery, they ground and shaved this area and hit it hard with something like a hammer) hurts intermittently. It comes with a slight headache too..

When it’s bad, it’s severe enough that I take headache medicine, but the frequency is about 1-2 times every three months? My sole purpose for surgery was crooked nose correction, but the doctor said that for a man my nose was on the slim side, and my nasal bridge was higher than that of the average person,

so it would be good to raise only the nasal tip slightly with ear cartilage, so I raised the nasal tip a little too. Now I really think I did well getting the surgery, and since ear cartilage was used rather than an implant, I’m not too worried about side effects. (Can side effects occur even with cartilage??)

Anyway, my quality of life has improved a lot, and I’ve gained confidence by getting rid of a major source of stress and a complex. That’s it for now.@@
