Body fat 33%, body type with bust and hips, has a waistline but quite a bit of visceral fat and a protruding lower abdomen. My rib cage is narrow and my pelvis is wide, so I do have a waistline, but overall I look chubby because I’m covered in fat, so I decided on liposuction.
Personally, I like having some flesh on my lower body (*I don’t prefer stick-thin legs), so I decided to do only upper-body liposuction.
Concerns: upper arm fat, accessory breast tissue, flanks (love handles), back flanks, lower abdomen
Budget under 4 million won
1. ㅇㅋㅇ This place is located in Cheongdam, but since my budget was under 4 million won, I only had a consultation for the arms.
Arms, armpits, accessory breast tissue, scapular area: 3 million won / compression garment separate, 40,000-50,000 won
> It was 3 million won just for the arms, so it was too expensive and I put it on hold ㅠ
2. ㅁㄷ ㅋㄹㄴ
Here, they showed PPT materials too, and the doctor really consulted very sincerely, so I felt I could trust them. Full arms 1.639 million won (*including accessory breast tissue and bra line) Waist 1.21 million won
Total 2.849 million won
I liked that I didn’t have to wear a compression garment.
3. ㅇㄹ Plastic Surgery
Arms + abdomen, plus 100,000 won for compression garment, came to 6.36 million won... The budget itself just didn’t fit. I was shocked because it was so expensive.. Instead, aftercare was unlimited.
But the consultation itself somehow... didn’t feel trustworthy.
4. ㅍㅈ On Wednesdays they stay open late, so after having 3 consultations, I called the same day and luckily they could see me, so since I was already out, I went.
I didn’t have expectations, but I liked this consultation the most.
For the first time, they checked the thickness of the fat while looking at an ultrasound.
What was really honest and nice was that they said areas with about 1 cm of fat might not give high personal satisfaction.
And for the back side (*back line), they said my current line was pretty and told me not to touch it.
Other places would say “there’s fat here~” even when only a little flesh could be pinched, talking like it had to be done. I also didn’t want unnecessary holes made all over my body, so I really liked that point. Thinking about it, I don’t think it makes sense to decide without even checking the actual fat amount.
And during the consultation, the consultant said she had surgery too, took off her clothes, and showed me all the surgical scar areas.. I had so many concerns about scarring and kept asking, so she undressed and showed me ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ So my trust went way up.
The event price was 2.42 million won for arms + abdomen.. It was truly the cheapest, and the consultation was good too, so I’m leaning most toward this place.
But the compression garment is separate, blood test fee is separate at 50,000 won, and post-op iron IV? is separate at 150,000 won.
They check iron before surgery, and if the level is low, the surgery has to be split up. In that case they take off the blood test fee (50,000 won), but the IV is mandatory again, so the IV fee becomes 300,000 won.
You can choose whether to split the surgery or do it all at once, but they said if they check the blood test on the surgery day and it’s difficult to do all at once, they will absolutely split it into 2 sessions. (*Honestly, I was worried because there was a death case after liposuction, but it felt like a decision made because they consider the patient’s physical condition and don’t insist on pushing through since it really is dangerous, so I felt trust.)
