Hehehe, actually it’s still early, so it may be premature to say whether it went well or not, but still, this wasn’t my first surgery, and now I can tell just by looking whether it went well or not, I can sense it, and I think this turned out really well, so I’m writing this hoping it helps everyone doing online research for revision surgery.
I had nose surgery 10 years ago, and the height of my nasal bridge was okay, but I was always concerned that my nasal tip was low. But for revision surgery, aside from the money, I was scared of having to recover again, so I kept putting it off. This time I had more time available, so I went to consultations at about 4 hospitals and had revision surgery at the place that seemed best.
After getting consultations, I was told the silicone implant was a bit shifted, and the boundary between the nasal bridge and nasal tip was somewhat visible, so I removed that. I wanted the starting point of the nasal bridge to look more natural, so this time I used a customized implant. For the nasal tip, after discussing with the director, I had surgery using ear cartilage and donated costal cartilage. They also said I happened to qualify for two functional procedures, so I added functional nose surgery, got reimbursed, and had revision surgery at the lowest possible price. Overall, I’m very satisfied.
At first, the swelling went down differently on the left and right, so I wondered whether the deviated nose correction hadn’t been done properly, but every time I went for follow-up, I got swelling laser treatment, and once the swelling went down a bit on both sides, I could see the deviated nose correction had been done properly. Whether it’s your first surgery or revision surgery, it’s natural for things to look strange in the very early period after surgery because of swelling, so I recommend focusing only on care and recovery for about 1-2 weeks. If you start worrying a lot, it only makes things hard for you.
For now, I’m planning to keep going to the hospital for follow-ups, receive swelling care here and there, and watch it for about one more month. I’ll write another post then. Ah, for reference, when resting at home after surgery, you may have a runny nose, so prepare things like gauze, and a humidifier is essential, so if you’ve decided on surgery, I recommend preparing these in advance.
