Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Rhinoplasty consultation reviews (massive legwork queen)

The consultation reviews are all so different that I’m conflicted, so I’m writing to get adviceㅜㅜ First of all, my nose is short, my skin is thin, and it’s been 6-7 years since my first surgery. It’s a nose with mild contracture and the nostrils show a lot. The reason I decided on revision rhinoplasty is also because of my nostrilsㅠㅜ

1. ㅇㄴㅅㅌ Jung Recommended autologous rib cartilage. Specialist in contracted noses and short noses, only does one or two surgeries a day, good aftercare, and the consultant was kind too. But the nose line I want is a slim look from the front, and overall his style seems to have some thickness. Cost 8.8 million won.

2. ㅇㅇㄹㅁ Heo Recommended donated rib cartilage. He was originally famous for noses, so I went for a consultation, but this was the only place that recommended donated rib cartilage. For me, improving the nostril show is important, but this director seemed more focused on the line. He said the line can definitely be raised, and that it’s possible to make the nostrils not show even without alar rim lowering. He said doctors who can’t do that are beginner doctors. Cost 5.8 million won based on autologous rib.

3. ㄷㄷㅇ Um Recommended autologous rib cartilage. Said the line I want is possible and that he would do alar rim lowering together. The consultation wasn’t long and he seemed busy. But he’s a director from ㅇㅇㄹㅁ, and my close younger friend got surgery from him; it seemed like he doesn’t really look at patient needs much and is more line-focused. Still, he didn’t say it would definitely work no matter what, and suggested going with lowering the bridge and raising the tip, so I trusted him. But there is absolutely no aftercare for autologous rib. With all acquaintance discounts applied, autologous rib was 6.5 million won.

4. ㄷㄴ Kim I heard he’s top-tier for rhinoplasty, so even though I knew the quote would be high, I went once. Same thing as the ㄷㄷㅇ director: lower the bridge and raise the tip. Do alar rim lowering while using sutures so it doesn’t look spread out, and lift the nostril wings. Autologous rib cost 13.5 million won.

5. ㄷㅇㅇ Park Director who used to be at ㅂㄹㄱ. First, lower the bridge and raise the tip. But if improving the nostrils is the goal, the tip can’t be raised too much. The bridge and tip are unrelated (other hospitals said they are related to skin space). Alar rim lowering, nostril wing lifting, choice of donated rib or autologous rib. Based on donated rib, 3.8 million won.

6. ㄹㅂㄹ Yoon Recommended autologous rib. Said if you do alar rim lowering, the nostrils get bigger and the nose gets bulky, and it’s the same even if done together during rhinoplasty. Said any line can be made however you want (from this point my eyes went dead; even with an appointment, I waited over an hour). Autologous rib 8 million won.

The consultations are all different, the prices are all different. What kind of nose do I even have,,, how should I do the surgery,,,,,,,, I also went to two more hospitals besides these. The reason I didn’t include them is because I saw lots of side-effect cases and the prices were unbelievably cheap. I’ve done insane legwork, but I still can’t decide,,, Should I just trust the ㄷㄴ director’s words and decide on a hospital that gives the same diagnosis? I really want this to be my last surgery, so I don’t care whether it’s donated rib or autologous rib. My first priority is safety, someone who won’t make me lie on the operating table again, with no side effects like a crooked nose or implant/cartilage showing through. Second priority is nostril improvement, third priority is the line. Please recommend, everyone,,,,
