After thinking about nasal tip surgery for a long time, I finally decided to have surgery on my nasal tip and nasal bridge (silicone) this time. I had osteotomy, and the nasal tip was done as bulbous nose correction.
Before this, at the recommendation of a consultant at another clinic, I had a Uniko procedure, but the effect disappeared quickly and I was left with only a large hole-like scar on my nasal tip. So I went back several times asking for aftercare and received laser treatment, but there was no improvement at all. In the end, that clinic said something ridiculous like, “Try going somewhere for pigmentation treatment,” and even when I tried to get another procedure, they acted a bit annoyed. The consultant called Manager Hyo didn’t even consult with me and told the staff to just have me pay at the counter. They responded unpleasantly even though customers were around.
Anyway, that was about my severe dissatisfaction with Uniko, and I absolutely, absolutely recommend not doing it. I heard it all goes back anyway, and later, when you have surgery, it may even need to be scraped out.
However, since a long time had passed and not much was left in my case, I wasn’t charged a separate removal fee.
Day 0-1 - I really don’t remember anything, and my throat hurts so badly it feels like I’m dying... On top of that, they stuffed cotton tightly into my nose, so I can’t breathe... When I look in the mirror, there’s a splint on, so I can’t tell at all whether my nose turned out well or not. Sleeping is also so hard. Day 2 - Swelling starts. Strangely, there’s no pain in my nose. If inflammation or something like that happened it would be really, really troublesome, but it doesn’t seem to be that situation, so I’m very relieved. And on this day they remove the cotton from the nose, and wow.... The happiness when you can clearly smell bread is incredible. Your quality of life goes up one level.
Day 3 - The swelling comes down not to my eyes but all the way to my cheeks.... My face sagged like a bulldog... I got to see the peak of ugliness. It made me firmly resolve all over again that I absolutely must not gain a lot of weight.
Day 4 - There isn’t much difference from Day 3. Now all I can think about is wanting to get the splint off quickly and see my nose. But I don’t know if this is the effect of anesthesia... the medication... or surgical recovery. No matter how much I sleep, the fatigue is really severe. I get sleepy even while going about my day, but I can’t sleep face down.. Since I sleep every day in a position halfway between sitting and lying down, maybe that’s why. I want to get my everyday energy back quickly. I take walks moderately, though not extremely regularly.
As for my nose, aside from occasional stinging on the side of the nose, there’s no pain, which is so strange... It’s normal not to have pain, right?
In the end, after putting it off and putting it off, I got plastic surgery, and I did it at a very large major hospital. Of course, there were points where it proceeded like a factory and I couldn’t see the doctor right after surgery, but there are that many fewer complaint cases and the doctor has many surgical cases, so I went ahead thinking I should trust them.
Please... I hope the result is good when the splint comes off. I absolutely do not want revision surgery... This week is so hard.
