Before <Before/after surgery photos hehe..> After <After surgery bb.. Now taking photos feels fun> I only got lateral lower canthoplasty, but my eyes almost doubled in size!! My eyes weren’t completely untouched; I had ptosis correction in 2023. At the time, I didn’t get any canthoplasty because I didn’t think I really needed it, but as time passed, I started to get bothered by how the outer corners of my eyes felt tightly blocked. Since I was young, I had severe eyelash irritation because of conjunctivitis, so I used to go to an ophthalmologist too. While looking up canthoplasty reviews, I saw that there’s a surgery called entropion surgery, so I thought, oh then can entropion surgery and lateral lower canthoplasty be done together…?? I researched both online and in person here and there, and picked a hospital specializing in eyes!! It wasn’t just because they specialized in eyes that I decided without asking anything.
1. There were many reviews for lateral lower canthoplasty and entropion surgery. (There are many hospitals with lots of canthoplasty reviews, but hospitals with many entropion surgery reviews were rare.) 2. The AS period was 3 years. (It was the longest among the hospitals I visited!) 3. The doctor’s consultation was really detailed and kind. (They used instruments and even checked the canthoplasty down to the mm.) 4. Maybe because it’s a private clinic, even just from the consultation, there were many points where I could feel they paid close attention to aftercare, follow-ups, and so on. 5. I think I was able to decide without much difficulty for these big reasons!!
Honestly, wherever I looked, there were many hospitals said to be really good at lateral lower canthoplasty, but it was hard to find a hospital that was also good at entropion surgery, so I think the hospitals I researched online alone were more than I could count on both hands.. I heard that if lateral lower canthoplasty is done poorly, swelling can occur or it can affect your image, so I absolutely did not want to get it done at a place that creates that distinctive “ㄷ”-shaped lookㅠㅠ For me, becoming prettier after lateral lower canthoplasty was important, but more than anything, naturally!! Until other people ask and I answer, I absolutely didn’t want anyone to know I had surgery! That was the biggest thing I wanted.. Because of my schedule, the surgery date was a bit tricky, but the consultant kept going back and forth checking the schedule so that I could have surgery on the date/time I wanted, and kept coordinating and accommodating me, so I was so, so grateful ㅠㅠㅠ
What I remember before going into surgery is that the structure required you to do an air shower before entering the operating room, so I felt like, wow, they really care a lot about hygiene. Even when I lay down in the operating room and quickly looked around, there was no messy feeling at all, and everything was neatly organized, so I think I lay down feeling reassured!! Even after surgery, until the anesthesia wore off, the staff took such good care of me and told me I could rest fully before leaving. The hospital didn’t feel chaotic at all, so I rested comfortably like I was at home.. lol and got up feeling fine. What really made me feel that the doctor had a lot of experience with eyes was that maybe they only touched exactly the necessary areas during surgery, because I had almost no swelling, so I returned to daily life faster than I expected. My friends said they had seen more cases where lateral lower canthoplasty failed, and they were really amazed, asking how I became so naturally prettier!! A friend who said she was scared of getting lateral lower canthoplasty even though she wanted it because she was afraid of the “ㄷ” shape said it really turned out well,, and after seeing my eyes, she says she wants lateral lower canthoplasty again lolololol Hehe, now my eyelashes really don’t poke me anymore, and after lateral lower canthoplasty, my eyes naturally look so much more open, so taking selfies is fun..bb
Seriously, I acknowledge my medical father.. My friends told me to visit him on Parents’ Day..^^lol
