Surgical history: In 2018, I had natural adhesion double eyelid surgery + medial epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction.
Starting 1 year? 2 years? ago, the double eyelid on one side came undone, so since I was on break, I went ahead with the medial epicanthoplasty restoration I had been thinking about all this time! When I first had double eyelid surgery, the medial epicanthoplasty was opened a bit too much for my original faceㅠㅜ, which made my impression look stronger, so I had been worried a lot, and this time I fixed it.
Originally, I wanted revision double eyelid surgery on the undone eye + medial epicanthoplasty restoration on both eyes, but the doctor said that would probably make my eyes look too small and bead-like, and since my right eye was fine, they told me not to touch it, so I trusted them and had the surgery. Also, they said only the undone eye had the inner corner more hollowed out, so including the double eyelid line, we proceeded in a direction that matched it overall to the right eye.
In conclusion, even though it’s only day 4, the surgery seems to have gone so well that I feel sure it was a success, and I’m really glad I only did one side. If I had done both sides, it would have looked way too plain and round-eyedㅠㅜ They closed it exactly as much as I wanted (they said they closed 1 mm). During surgery, they even gave me a mirror and were extremely meticulous. The ptosis correction has almost no bruising or swelling, and the medial epicanthoplasty restoration naturally has to have some bruising, but even that is fading really quickly, so I’m already excited haha. I want to get the stitches removed quickly, and when people say they’ll take photos of me, I want to be photographed looking confident, unlike before. Before surgery, I avoided being photographed with the rear camera so much because of my eyes haha. Maybe some of you can relate.. Anyway, so far I’m really satisfied!
