I originally went in for a fat grafting consultation, but they said that if I got fat grafting on my face, both the upper and lower parts would look large, so they recommended facial contouring. My lower face was indeed large, long, and developed.. hahaha It was an unexpected expense and surgery, but since they had pointed out the bone structure properly and it was an area I had always been concerned about, I went ahead with the surgery.
They operated on my square jaw and did a T-osteotomy on my chin tip to make my face slimmer. They did not recommend cheekbone reduction. I like a natural look, so I left everything to the director and asked them to make it harmonious with my face. I’m the type to say, “Doctor, please just take care of it,” so I left it all to the director. That was because the hospital was very famous for facial contouring and the doctor had a lot of experience, so I had the surgery without worrying too much.
When I went back to work one week after surgery, people would not have known unless I told them (though occasionally someone with a good eye said, “Your face changed~”). It wasn’t burdensome to return to daily life. I think it was because there were no visible surgical scars on the outside. Even close friends did not notice unless I told them hahaha Of course, there was residual swelling, but as time passed it gradually disappeared, and as the swelling went down, the effect of the surgery slowly started to show!
After the surgery, I tried a bob haircut, which I had never even dared to do before. I have no side effects or aftereffects, and I’m living with so, so, so much satisfaction!
