I can’t believe the day has come when I’m writing a review after finishing everything from researching before-and-after medial epicanthoplasty restoration cases to the surgery and recovery... This is a review filled with my wish for this to be the last time I touch my face..!
Like everyone who worries about medial epicanthoplasty restoration, I was depressed every day and felt like I was in hell whenever I looked in the mirror because the inner corners of my eyes looked sunken and too close together from excessive canthal wideningㅠㅠ I looked into whether I should get revision medial epicanthoplasty, but it didn’t seem possible in my case. On top of that, revision medial epicanthoplasty was more expensive than the first surgery, and there wasn’t any place that made me feel absolutely sureㅠ I really struggled emotionally for a while, then leaned toward restoration, even though it has a lot of risksㅠㅠ
While looking up reviews of medial epicanthoplasty restoration, I asked tons of questions for information and used that as a basis to look into hospitals carefully, you know? But as I gathered information, the hospitals I’d go to for consultations naturally narrowed down!(Just in case, I won’t mention them; if anyone is curious, please leave a private comment)
The first hospital had a doctor who is famous specifically for medial epicanthoplasty restoration, but the doctor was too cynical.. The place where I had surgery showed me with Photoshop and said from the start that making it pointed would be difficult, but a slightly rounded-pointed shape might be possible. The third hospital had a very professor-like style.. I felt like I came back from a lecture on medial epicanthoplasty restoration haha
I’m an intuitive person, so in the end, I liked the completed eye shape they showed me, so after thinking it over, I decided and had the surgery. It turned out much better than the Photoshop image from the consultationㅠㅠ If there’s one slight downside, maybe the incision area is a bit long? But they sutured it well, so the scar is barely noticeable now, and after getting scar laser treatments provided by the hospital, the redness has gradually improved too.
After about 2 months, the shape I wanted started to come out. Anyone who has had medial epicanthoplasty restoration will know, but the shape seems to change very subtly little by little. Now the distance between my eyes is pretty appropriate, and even when I put glitter on the inner corners, my eyes don’t look too close together, so it’s just rightㅠ Before, when I used glitter, they looked like they were almost touching, so I couldn’t do it... sigh
Anyway, I thought my eyes were severe, but even eyes like this can improve if you look into things carefully and get surgery that suits youㅠ There may be people here whose cases are more severe than mine and people whose cases aren’tㅠㅠ but I hope seeing me gives you hope!
