This was 3 years ago, but I went for my first double eyelid surgery consultation. It was during peak COVID, when everyone was wearing masks. I went for the consultation, but they didn’t even ask me to take off my mask and just consulted by looking only at my eyes. They said the space between my eyes was wide and even recommended epicanthoplasty, but when looking at my whole face, my eyes absolutely didn’t need itㅇㅇ Since they didn’t even have me take off my mask and consulted mechanically while looking only at my eyes without considering facial harmony, I ruled them out.
Everyone, make sure you consider overall facial harmony when you do it. Double eyelids being high and every corner of the eyes being opened up is not automatically pretty~ In the end, I had a very successful double eyelid surgery somewhere else without any canthoplasty at all.
